Suadi Arabia is far more progressive than most other middle eastern states. Israel is problably the most
@everybodydothatdinosaur
I'm fairly sure it's:
Israel
Jordan
**and then** Saudi Arabia
but Jordan is only a tad bit better than Saudi Arabia afaik
FGM is also more rare in Suadi Arabia than say, iran
but it is present
To my knowledge it's banned, but it still happens
Actually, maybe Lebanon is higher than Jordan
While Saudi Arabia **might** be rather high on the list, it certainly isn't the 2nd or 3rd most progressive nation in the ME
Suadi Arabia is not great, but it's way better than say, iran
Well, yeah
that's a given
It's better to achieve things via diplomacy
If you can manage it, and Suadi arabia does seem to be improving
Without the need for war
Slowly over time
I mean sure I'd love to see them become westernized over night ,but that's unreasonable
War is a measure of last resort, obviously
That is, until one of the rulers does a face-heel-turn
and for all we know, that might occur
A handful of private citizens supporting Al-Qeada or ISIS is different from the governmeant of iran funding hezbollah, so yeah it's different
Iran is a direct military threat to other countries in the region and has made this clear, been mining open waters, and has attempted to assassiante western leaders
They've given over 100,000 missiles to hezbollah, russian missiles
This is a more serious issue than a handful of suadis given a proportionately small amount of money to ISIS
what private citizens do is different from governmeant decisions
In 2010, Hezbollah was believed to have 45,000 rockets.[188] In 2017, Hezbollah had 130,000 rockets and missiles
They have a bunch of sophisticated missiles
THe only reason there aren't more deaths in Israel is the iron dome, which is a missile defense system
Designed to shoot down missiles in Israel
I mean eitheir Russia directly supplied them with missiles, or iran did from Russia
Some missiles are domestically produced in Iran as well
Iran is way more of a threat than Suadi Arabia
Which while shitty, is progressing slowly
Basically, the moral of the story is this. There are known knowns, unknown unknowns, and also known unknowns, things we know we don't know. I think we need to focus more on the known uknowns, the things we know we don't know, becuase things we know can eventually know, you know?
To add some levity to the conversation xD
How about the unknown knowns? You left that one out.
I think the true red pill resides on the unknown knowns territory: those what we know intuitively but which we don't register.
Stuff that is hardcoded to our DNA but which we do no recognize (or may even be hardcoded not to even be able to recognize) such as male disposability and gynocentrism.
@everybodydothatdinosaur funny story (it's not **really** funny, but that's what everybody says when trying to bring random shit up) about that LMAO
back when I had a Twitter (I disabled it, because I didn't want to undergo any sorta anxiety pertaining to my mentions), I got into an argument with some random Christian dude about Hezbollah (or Hamas....I'm not sure which)
he was like...Hispanic, I think
