10m waves.
did they have any insight? most even in the academic community don't completely understand the science
Wait, tallest were 25m.
They have scientific insight, but when it comes to politics, they're quite often woke because of the environment they're in
Since they come from university environments which have already been taken over by globalists/leftists
They get funding from organisations and people that are fundamentally globalists/leftists
yup, that was what 90% of my friends in higher academia reported; it didn't matter what the research showed, advisors didn't want to take risks
I mean, i'm going to take part on a sustainability panel as the token contrarian, but i'm a loan voice
as a Post-Doc, you can't publish if the advisor doesn't want to co-publish; and those old fools are extremely subject to bias
@NinjaQuick what the fuck are we missing from Chile, or Alaska?
shitty cold war helicopters and a bunch of polar bears that want to kill me
i heard this is true even in fields such as particle physics since why before the trump thing
It's been headed that way for a decade or more
Pretty much aligns with the take-over of the academic institutions by leftists
I think going green though if done properly and patiently, is a good thing. it creates jobs and gets all the eggs out of one basket
No the point is
what is the point in anything?
we all die
so... go ahead
@SideTracker My cousin does look Tatar (her roots are bashkir, tatar and cossack)

lol
nearly a quarter of all seismic energy came from one earthquake (between 1905-2006)
you are trying to linearize a non-linear function
bad maffs
Ma, it's the lack of self awareness and hypocrisy that gets me - the same people who on one day are saying we can't leave the EU because of a one-off drop in GDP of 8% are int he next breadth calling for the banning from sale of all petrol and diesel cars in 2030. Which will have a much bigger hit on the economy
^^ yup
that's when you know it is just parroting of something they don't understand
It was so intense that it put the whole pacific coastal countries on alert cause another like that could have caused shitloads of deaths.
Same people bemoaning leaving the EU because 1 or more of our petrol/diesel refineries might close due to lower export demand, are the same people banning all new diesel/petrol cars from 2030
zealots never see the intrinsic contradictions of their positions
These people are either liars and don't know they're doing it, or they're dangerously retarded and need lining up against the wall and shooting
What's done is done
HONOUR THE FUCKING WILL OF THE PEOPLE
well, that is a bit unfair
We can talk about improving things later
I mean I been through a couple 8+ quakes
the people pursuing the research and doing the work aren't the people sounding the buggle
so it's not 'all'
I cannot imagine the force of a 9.5.
The scale is exponential
