French have 4 kinds of accents that can be used over different letters (though mostly they're used over "e")
oh you mean
where multiple letters are used to denote single phoneme
ye
dyphtongues
english has that too
sh
diphtongues*
oo
sh ch oo aw au
ee
yano
theres a lot of them really
moer than in polish that is
besides, english is basically not phonetc spelling at all
English is the mutt of languages, so it's not surprise really
cupboard
you don pronounce the b
or the p
you dont? 😂
not nearly as much
so I see the difference there
ye czech uses diactritics for polish diphtongues sz cz ye?
Yea, we evolved past the 13th century
ěščřžýáíé
but i dont think czech has them palatal consonants?
or you just add 'i' to them to make em so
no one knows what those are svar
I don't know what that is but it sounds made up
exactly

Honestly though, with qwerty, the polish way seems way more convenient
yet its the only thing we have <:why:462286147473637407>
@leavethisbotnet there's one extra row of useless keys that people too poor to afford numpads use to type numbers with <:smugon:512048583806025739>
Like for example the "ch" sound is written as a diphtong /t͡ʃ/ and it is fucking not a diphtong at all
The only tolerable keyboards layout I know of is "US-eastern europe", which has the different letters under right alt
and 12345 are as they should be
Found the guy who can't afford a numpad
