I have a PCC person so they get my vote. If you don't have one. Well it's still your local representative. Look into thier positions and be damned the federal level cosiquences.

Typically I'd say failing to vote is a vote for the prevailing candidate.

thanks, i try to think local first. just because this is the federal election does not mean that you are not also voting for someone to represent you. its how i voted in the last election when I had no real good choice. Glad Icould help someone who is in the same position this time around.

Not voting means you leave it up to others to decide who wins. The only time not voting works is if everyone else does the same.

Better to pick the next best alternative even if they're trash.

yes, lowering the voting age is a terrible terrible idea.

Earn Citizenship? or just demonstrate a competence to have the right to vote

but that would make the government decide who is competent enough but making them answer biased questions

Earn as in service

Military or community (charity) service

Learn how service others, to subordinate to the collective (connection to Social culture) then allowing development of the individual

I think voting age should be moved to 25 and you must also be paying income tax (and be a citizen of course)

I will vote PPC even though they will not win. My biggest hope is for CPC to win and actually be useful for once and defund CBC

I live in an area full of immigrants and received a pamphlet from the local liberal candidate. All it talked about is how she loves immigrants and wants to protect my rights and diversity............ Nothing about actual policy. It was so condescending.

She thinks people who immigrated here think of themselves as completely apart from Canadians and only care about themselves. Nah son, lot of us integrate and want a better Canada. Lower my taxes and get the government out of my butthole

@kennith @Sydoh No, you guys are both wrong. There needs to be a point when you refuse to vote for anyone. I'm not even saying we are necessarily at that point but, it is vital that we recognize that is a point.

If you have to vote for one of the big 4 it would be better to vote Liberal imo. They are awful obviously but, we could have a better Conservative Party in the future but, they NEED to lose this election for them to change.

If Andrew Scheer wins this election that will send the message 'what you are doing now is fine.'

He if loses the CPC will be forced to change and we will have to try to force that into the right direction.
