He's going hard on the seperation of powrs

2019-10-17 02:19:35 UTC

I didn't understand most of the French debate, but it was waaaay better than the english one.

2019-10-17 02:19:52 UTC

Which is a soft Quebec nod

2019-10-17 02:20:20 UTC

Yeah, I was thinking that too.

2019-10-17 02:20:46 UTC

Provinces should be responsible for what they are constitutionaly responsible for.

2019-10-17 02:20:55 UTC

Sensible

2019-10-17 02:21:20 UTC

Funny, it's also an Alberta nod

2019-10-17 02:24:35 UTC

@kennith A NDP minority isn't possible, they have never had a single poll that puts them in that territory. This election will result in either a Liberal or Conservative government or maybe a Liberal NDP collation. I'm not saying we should never vote again, I'm saying we cannot vote for the Conservatives right now, in this election. If you have to vote for one of the big four vote Liberal or NDP since at least that will damage the Conservative Party and possibly force them to kick Scheer to the curb.

2019-10-17 02:27:42 UTC

My vote will be PPC or spoiled

2019-10-17 02:27:44 UTC

I hear what you're saying. I was only hypothetically saying that an NDP minority would be cause for both parties to consider re-aligning.

2019-10-17 02:28:16 UTC

Keep in mind a vote is money due to public funding

2019-10-17 02:28:39 UTC

I also don't trust polls 😛

2019-10-17 02:29:12 UTC

Nearly 30% increase in advanced voting

2019-10-17 02:29:17 UTC

Something is going on

2019-10-17 02:29:26 UTC

When do those numbers come out, do you know?

2019-10-17 02:30:53 UTC

wow, that's significant

2019-10-17 02:31:46 UTC

> Elections Canada is expected to release a breakdown of who voted at the advance polls by province, territory and district on Wednesday.

2019-10-17 02:33:51 UTC

The official elections press release does not offer a timeline for the breakdown

2019-10-17 02:34:05 UTC

<:thunk:462282216467333140>

2019-10-17 02:34:28 UTC

Surely that could lead to a band wagon effect by which to lead future voters intentions?

2019-10-17 02:34:50 UTC

That sounds ganked as fuck, as far as proper electoral and voting procedure goes...

2019-10-17 02:35:10 UTC

Hrmmm i think elections Canada is still non partisan

2019-10-17 02:35:36 UTC

It would be an epic shitshow if they skewed numbers

2019-10-17 02:35:53 UTC

But the media can always selectively report..

2019-10-17 02:36:14 UTC

I purely mean that, people should all vote on the same day.

2019-10-17 02:36:48 UTC

By allowing voting to happen in drips and drabs, it allows for voting signalling so that later voters have their decision influenced by previous votes.

2019-10-17 02:37:01 UTC

I see how reporting such info can be bad

2019-10-17 02:37:09 UTC

Giving those who vote first potential power over those who vote later

2019-10-17 02:37:35 UTC

Indeed, I do wonder why reporting this makes sense...

2019-10-17 02:37:51 UTC

Never considered that before

2019-10-17 02:59:46 UTC

Indeed they should not report polling for parties. I fact I’m sure that’s be illegal.

2019-10-17 03:00:20 UTC

Probably a breakdown of how many per riding or province. But not detailed about which candidates are leading.

2019-10-17 03:00:33 UTC

How many advances voters

2019-10-17 03:01:02 UTC

So, where does this channel stand on Quebec?

2019-10-17 03:10:16 UTC

The bloc is attempting to agitate for separation of canada and should be honestly ignored.
I think we should remove all equalization payments (or drastically reduce)
Remove language barriers (we have translators for a reason) for public office
More provincial separation of power away from federal govt.

2019-10-17 04:01:07 UTC

I agree with all of that. Except, maybe, language barriers.

2019-10-17 04:05:29 UTC

Vote for whichever party you think will be best for this country, but don't waste your vote on voting for "whoever can cause the most damage" or "who you think is going to win"

2019-10-17 04:05:41 UTC

Vote for those whose principles are closest to yours.
