He's going hard on the seperation of powrs
I didn't understand most of the French debate, but it was waaaay better than the english one.
Which is a soft Quebec nod
Yeah, I was thinking that too.
Provinces should be responsible for what they are constitutionaly responsible for.
Sensible
Funny, it's also an Alberta nod
@kennith A NDP minority isn't possible, they have never had a single poll that puts them in that territory. This election will result in either a Liberal or Conservative government or maybe a Liberal NDP collation. I'm not saying we should never vote again, I'm saying we cannot vote for the Conservatives right now, in this election. If you have to vote for one of the big four vote Liberal or NDP since at least that will damage the Conservative Party and possibly force them to kick Scheer to the curb.
My vote will be PPC or spoiled
I hear what you're saying. I was only hypothetically saying that an NDP minority would be cause for both parties to consider re-aligning.
Keep in mind a vote is money due to public funding
I also don't trust polls 😛
Nearly 30% increase in advanced voting
Something is going on
When do those numbers come out, do you know?
Last I saw was this https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/advance-poll-turnout-surges-1.5321915
wow, that's significant
This one, actually, https://globalnews.ca/news/6038193/canada-election-advance-voting/
> Elections Canada is expected to release a breakdown of who voted at the advance polls by province, territory and district on Wednesday.
The official elections press release does not offer a timeline for the breakdown
Surely that could lead to a band wagon effect by which to lead future voters intentions?
That sounds ganked as fuck, as far as proper electoral and voting procedure goes...
Hrmmm i think elections Canada is still non partisan
It would be an epic shitshow if they skewed numbers
But the media can always selectively report..
I purely mean that, people should all vote on the same day.
By allowing voting to happen in drips and drabs, it allows for voting signalling so that later voters have their decision influenced by previous votes.
I see how reporting such info can be bad
Giving those who vote first potential power over those who vote later
Indeed, I do wonder why reporting this makes sense...
Never considered that before
Indeed they should not report polling for parties. I fact I’m sure that’s be illegal.
Probably a breakdown of how many per riding or province. But not detailed about which candidates are leading.
How many advances voters
So, where does this channel stand on Quebec?
The bloc is attempting to agitate for separation of canada and should be honestly ignored.
I think we should remove all equalization payments (or drastically reduce)
Remove language barriers (we have translators for a reason) for public office
More provincial separation of power away from federal govt.
I agree with all of that. Except, maybe, language barriers.
Vote for whichever party you think will be best for this country, but don't waste your vote on voting for "whoever can cause the most damage" or "who you think is going to win"
Vote for those whose principles are closest to yours.
