How dare you people want jobs

I don't see how voting for Liberal or NDP will help anything. If the idea is to tell the Conservative Party "you're not good enough" and the means of doing that is saying "we prefer the Liberals more" all it will do is make the conservatives try to be even more like the Liberals.
"Shit, guys, we're not woke enough. Look who they voted for. Time to ramp it up."

If you are trying to tell the conservatives to be actually conservative, and not Liberal Lite, voting PPC is the way to go, but that's not the only issue on the table (and, unfortunately, is an option that is not available to all ridings).
I think it's imperative to not allow any of the hard left parties to get into power as much as possible, and although the Conservatives are still similar to Lib/NDP/Green, they are the "least bad" version of them and the most likely party to get into power since they have the history and voter base to achieve it.

If you want to vote for PPC and can't, voting Conservative is the next best option. Any of the other three will just deteriorate the country even more. I wouldn't be surprised if they just merged into the "Green Liberal Democrats" since they are all running on nearly identical platforms.

2019-10-17 21:09:08 UTC

You shouldn't vote Liberal or NDP you shouldn't vote at all if you aren't voting PPC. But, if you absolutely must vote you should vote Liberal or NDP because it would be far more damaging to vote for the Conservatives

2019-10-17 21:09:36 UTC

At the same time being beneficial to the Liberals or NDP, though.

2019-10-17 21:15:24 UTC

Yes, which is why you shouldn't vote for them

2019-10-17 21:18:06 UTC

How would it be more damaging to vote Conservative if the others are worse?

2019-10-17 21:18:33 UTC

Because the Conservatives aren't conservative

2019-10-17 21:18:43 UTC

and they will not change unless they lose elections

2019-10-17 21:19:12 UTC

The same logic can be applied to the other parties.

2019-10-17 21:19:37 UTC

The Liberal Party and the NDP are never going to be conservative parties

2019-10-17 21:19:46 UTC

the conservative party is supposed to be a conservative party

2019-10-17 21:19:55 UTC

Yes, but why would the Liberals or NDP change if they win?

2019-10-17 21:20:08 UTC

they wont?

2019-10-17 21:20:12 UTC

If they lose, they have more incentive to change.

2019-10-17 21:20:32 UTC

Yes, but, there is no way that change will result in them becoming conservative

2019-10-17 21:20:58 UTC

They don't need to become conservative, they can become as they were before they became leftist extremists.

2019-10-17 21:21:33 UTC

They have been anti-free speech parties for decades, their problems aren't recent developments

2019-10-17 21:22:06 UTC

The charter of rights and freedoms was specifically made the allow the government to clamp down on free speech

2019-10-17 21:22:33 UTC

The NDP are literally against the right to protest for things they don't like and they have been since at least 1995.

2019-10-17 21:23:20 UTC

But, that's not what they were for originally. Neither were the Liberals.

2019-10-17 21:23:30 UTC

If they can change one way, they can change back.

2019-10-17 21:23:35 UTC

Them winning elections will not help that.

2019-10-17 21:24:15 UTC

Losing to the left-wing 'conservatives' isn't going to make them more sane

2019-10-17 21:25:20 UTC

Not in the short term.

2019-10-17 21:27:00 UTC

I can't imagine them becoming sane parties in any realistic amount of time.
