I think focusing on GDP is a net negative for the individuals who live in Britain too. It sees people as a single working block rather than looking at their living standards. This is why the GDP rising in America means fuck all if people's individual living standards remain stagnated along with wages.

If the UK leaves with a no deal it hits the EU export market, and the UK export market gets a glancing hit, not only that but French and German voters will then have to pay more to subsidise the failing states of the EU
