I've stopped using all disposable plastig bags from the supermarket and replaced them with light reusable bags my parents gave me, and I buy more loose fruits and veggies than packed.
The solutions are very simple, no effort whatsoever, we just need to actually do it.
the overwhelming majority of plastic pollution is in the form of fishing nets in the south pacific. efforts to reduce plastic waste in north america and europe have largely been successful.
it's just that no matter what ridiculous draconian measures europeans and americans take, those measures cannot alter the behavior of those in asia.
same thing with ridiculous measures to reduce water consumption. flushing once a day or banning baths or whatever other nonsense westerners do to reduce water consumption isn't going to do a damned thing for someone in north africa.
especially when water falls from the fucking sky in our countries.
