I miss Environmentalists that aren't crazy. Teddy was an Environmentalist but he actually travelled to the places he preserved and considered the consequences for the local people. He didn't just lock off thousands of acres to mining and lumber in areas entirely reliant on those industries.
There is a reason Yellowstone, our first National Park is in Wyoming, a state with very few people living there and when created even less were.
Teddy was also a massive hunter and his African Safari was largely to catalog species thought to be soon extinct before they actually did. Hunters are the first environmentalists, hippies just ruined it.

I'm so Glad Trump reduced the size of all the Land Grabs in Utah. He even finally reduced Grand Staircase Escalante. The idea that a President can simply PROCLAIM thousands of acres of State Land to become Federal Land is ridiculous, but now people are pissed that they can GIVE IT BACK!? These lawsuits are retarded, especially since past presidents have ALSO reduced the size of National Parks and National Monuments. Get rid of Presidential power to seize land unilaterally, give it back to Congress.
