MA thinks he's better than all of us.
and EU uses 240VAC at the receptacle
Infrastructure is completely different
most of it is buried
@Jack of Trades - The right of way fees thing is something so few people know, and people should legit be raging about it. "can double the cost of network construction" = Completely fucking worthless investment unless you've got enough of a market share to pay for those insane fees.
very little above ground power lines in comparison
because 1) more people per area 2) less total area to electrify
so it is WORTH paying the extra upfront cost to 1) bury the line and 2) make the line of LARGER capacity
this difference changes the ENTIRE equation
fucking hell, you don't even know the DIFFERENCE between a WYE and A DELTA nor the differnce between powering a factory vs a residential neighbourhood
you've never worked in power
you've nver worked in gov
and I'm arrogant?
LMFAO
Corbyn is being smart tbh
like I said, just cause you can look something up online, doesn't mean you UNDERSTAND IT @Arthur Grayborn
No he's not PEP
The tories are destroying themselves and got rid of their own majority
No they're not either lmao
Why ruin that by potentially giving him back that majority in a GE
for once i agree with remainer
Since Boris has come in
He’s lost his majority
By a fuck oof
Load*
And lost every single vote
why would the tories weaken their collective hand before brexit occurs?
@ManAnimal - My entire point is that if some rich fuck has a lot of money to throw around, and decides to go into direct competition with a presently existing electric or cable monopoly, the government should STEP THE FUCK BACK and let it happen, for the sake of the customers.
They're not, and that's why the people who run the government need to be taken behind a shed and shot.
tfw Tories are favourite to win and the Lib and Lab vote is so heavily split it'll lead to a Tory majority but Corbyn is playing it smart.
The single largest anti-competitive move in the book, at the moment, is that god awful right of way fee.
you don't understand the infrastructure trade-off. I am a damn libertaian. I hate gov because i have seen how they fuck shit up first hand
on 90% of things, companies do it bETTER
Exactly
but NOT if you cannot SEPERATE the incentives
Giving bojo a GE is giving him what he wants
Atm he’s weak
and with Power Distribution, you CANNOT economically seperate out the incentives
I'm pretty sure two electric companies duking it out, running lines into each other's territory and attaching new electric boxes to people's homes while disconnecting the old ones, constantly engaging in price wars and striving to keep their grid in top shape because a single blackout could cost them a fuckload of market share, is exactly what SHOULD happen.
you either pay WAY more for dedicated lines which require WAY more maintence, install costs AND losses incurred or your rely on shared infrastructure to reach customers
