Fair enough, I'm probably misusing the definition.
There's a difference between the safety net idea that we have in place and the 'the government determines your place in society' kind of approach.
The safety net is a bit shit
Its not meant to be great. Its meant to encourage you to get back on your feet again.
Some people aren't capable of being on their feet, Slen
Some people, for sure.
Elderly, infirm, disabled, people with mental issues
But there's a remarkable amount of people who treat it like its suppose to be equal to a real income.
When for them, it's not designed that way.
People who are unable to work, definitely should have some kind of assistance, but I also think it should be kept in mind that family should also be involved if possible in providing that assistance.
That's unfair
People don't get to choose their family
Their family may be shit
Or unable to offer assistance
So no, I don't agree
I did say if possible. I'm not mandating it.
That's the problem though
Tories seem to insist on it
And Tories obsession with means testings, ffs
when watching that andrew neil interview last night... be honest... when you saw it from a certain angle... who thought of that anti-semetic jewish trope picture of the jew hunched rubbing its hands...? no? .. just me? ... ahhh sht
Neither do I.
get a license scrub
I can't pay for that shite.
Fuck that
watch it on iplayer
TV is cancer
Nah, man.
iplayer needs a tv license
If i cared, i'd watch it on Youtube
just say "yes I hab one"
Newsflash: I don't care
I'll watch Netlfix, amazon prime and all the good stuff being made privately, while they butcher things like Doctor Who.
The only reason I would pay for a TV license was if they made decent programs these days.
I can get news anywhere.
I hope Priti Patel makes the TV licence a sub service like Netflix. It'll kill the BBC
I hope Priti Patel is allowed to go absolutely balls to the wall crazy. She'd be merciless.
I hope she does, but she needs to stop sounding tough, and start acting tough on principle
But the labour crowd couldn't argue, because she can throw the BAME card at them.
Well, apparently she's being held back by the Cabinet 😛
Rather than frothing and wanting to hang people, she shoudl go after vague laws, faggot laws, laws that treat different groups differently, and decriminalise drugs and legalise and tax pot already
