take one week in between - no more no less - do deload
but now that i have gym access i can do leg press and cable rows, etc.
doing mostly 5x5 heavy leg presses to built testosterone - can't skip leg day bc those are very large muscles
Deadlifts are for testosterone surges
Do more deadlifts to become Alpha
Deadlifts are for beta males who like having back surgery at 28 years old
Only beta males use their backs on deadlifts
I was about to say. Definitely shouldn’t be having back issues with Deadlifts.
@kernalkrackerz only deadlifts the bar @Officer_Caleb don’t mind him.
deadlifts are for the people who want to pretend that they can lift but only lift to make loud noises so people look at them and give them attention
I’ve never been a guy who likes deadlifts. Now, since I ran Cross Country (Since I love torturing myself) I like lifting for Endurance rather then “Strength”.
anyone know about weights brands?
I wanna get I guess a bench and bar for it and some weights for it, and two barbells
BUT
with three kids and a house and so on I have better things to spend my money on
I'd like a brand that will stand up to time so they will be down there for the kids when they get older
hammer strength is the best bang for the buck
dont buy walmart special benches, they never last
how much could you spend, how much room you got, and how much weight do you want?
well I could save up if I had to, I dunno how expensive this stuff is, I thought maybe $300 brand new, but that could be way under I just don't know how much they cost 🤷
since it'd be downstairs in the garage or basement, plenty of room
to get stronger deadlift, dont deadlift
ez
squat, good mornings, rack pull, bent over rows. speed deadlift + resistance bands are the best for making shit harder
just make shit harder using chains and bands so when u go to a meet or something to do the conventional lifts it'll be easy
I'm not sure I understood that, I'm not up on the lingo
I wouldn't be going to meets, I'm an old guy and I need to start getting some good anaerobic exercise
I would check your local thrift store or salvation army for weights, they always have a ton of them there for very cheap
Also check Craigslist. People are always getting rid of their workout equipment, expecially when they are moving and don't want to bring it.
Weights are one of the few things that don't mater if you buy used at all, because it's just a heavy peice of metal, it's kinda hard to break
When you start lifting keep it simple and slow, to build up a good base to work off of, I'll send you a good video to fallow later
deadlifts are great for putting on size and grip strength
if you hurt your back you gotta check your form
i had a free personal training session at this new gym - i've been squatting totally wrong all these years lol
also, if you can find a trap bar they are more effective and less awkward than barbell deadlifts
i'm gonna be doing this for the next 4 weeks at least
Hopefully I am getting a Job where they have a Gym at the Station so I can workout either before or after shift.
Awesome 👏🏻
I always do my best to workout 4 or 5 days a week.
