i had to cut the deads - i am mostly doing cables now that i'm in the gym

2018-11-21 23:49:14 UTC

i change it up every 8 weeks

2018-11-21 23:49:31 UTC

take one week in between - no more no less - do deload

2018-11-21 23:50:29 UTC

but now that i have gym access i can do leg press and cable rows, etc.

2018-11-21 23:51:31 UTC

doing mostly 5x5 heavy leg presses to built testosterone - can't skip leg day bc those are very large muscles

2018-11-26 18:56:24 UTC

Deadlifts are for testosterone surges

2018-11-26 18:56:36 UTC

Do more deadlifts to become Alpha

2018-11-26 19:32:51 UTC

Deadlifts are for beta males who like having back surgery at 28 years old

2018-11-26 20:03:06 UTC

Only beta males use their backs on deadlifts

2018-11-26 20:21:30 UTC

I was about to say. Definitely shouldn’t be having back issues with Deadlifts.

2018-11-27 01:32:54 UTC

@kernalkrackerz only deadlifts the bar @Officer_Caleb don’t mind him.

2018-11-27 01:45:10 UTC

deadlifts are for the people who want to pretend that they can lift but only lift to make loud noises so people look at them and give them attention

2018-11-27 02:21:24 UTC

I’ve never been a guy who likes deadlifts. Now, since I ran Cross Country (Since I love torturing myself) I like lifting for Endurance rather then “Strength”.

2018-11-27 10:39:12 UTC

anyone know about weights brands?
I wanna get I guess a bench and bar for it and some weights for it, and two barbells
BUT
with three kids and a house and so on I have better things to spend my money on
I'd like a brand that will stand up to time so they will be down there for the kids when they get older

2018-11-28 00:37:13 UTC

hammer strength is the best bang for the buck

2018-11-28 00:37:30 UTC

dont buy walmart special benches, they never last

2018-11-28 00:37:57 UTC

how much could you spend, how much room you got, and how much weight do you want?

2018-11-29 13:04:07 UTC

well I could save up if I had to, I dunno how expensive this stuff is, I thought maybe $300 brand new, but that could be way under I just don't know how much they cost 🤷

2018-11-29 13:04:25 UTC

since it'd be downstairs in the garage or basement, plenty of room

2018-12-01 01:07:49 UTC

to get stronger deadlift, dont deadlift

2018-12-01 01:07:50 UTC

ez

2018-12-01 01:08:52 UTC

squat, good mornings, rack pull, bent over rows. speed deadlift + resistance bands are the best for making shit harder

2018-12-01 01:09:19 UTC

just make shit harder using chains and bands so when u go to a meet or something to do the conventional lifts it'll be easy

2018-12-03 13:01:32 UTC

I'm not sure I understood that, I'm not up on the lingo

2018-12-03 13:02:06 UTC

I wouldn't be going to meets, I'm an old guy and I need to start getting some good anaerobic exercise

2018-12-03 19:07:06 UTC

I would check your local thrift store or salvation army for weights, they always have a ton of them there for very cheap

2018-12-03 19:07:47 UTC

Also check Craigslist. People are always getting rid of their workout equipment, expecially when they are moving and don't want to bring it.

2018-12-03 19:08:44 UTC

Weights are one of the few things that don't mater if you buy used at all, because it's just a heavy peice of metal, it's kinda hard to break

2018-12-03 19:09:59 UTC

When you start lifting keep it simple and slow, to build up a good base to work off of, I'll send you a good video to fallow later

2018-12-04 16:33:53 UTC

deadlifts are great for putting on size and grip strength

2018-12-04 16:34:06 UTC

if you hurt your back you gotta check your form

2018-12-04 16:34:37 UTC

i had a free personal training session at this new gym - i've been squatting totally wrong all these years lol

2018-12-04 16:35:04 UTC

also, if you can find a trap bar they are more effective and less awkward than barbell deadlifts

2018-12-04 16:35:06 UTC
2018-12-04 16:35:17 UTC

i'm gonna be doing this for the next 4 weeks at least

2018-12-04 23:53:30 UTC

Hopefully I am getting a Job where they have a Gym at the Station so I can workout either before or after shift.

2018-12-04 23:54:30 UTC

Awesome 👏🏻

2018-12-05 00:33:05 UTC

I always do my best to workout 4 or 5 days a week.
