@UrstMcRedHead do u know what that goblin meme is from 👀

2019-11-25 23:38:45 UTC

that one controversial anime

2019-11-25 23:39:07 UTC

@Jokerfaic I've owned a couple of police interceptors, and have also ridden in vehicles that can stop bullets.
Cop cars don't stopp bullets. Except maybe 22lr's.

2019-11-25 23:39:29 UTC

not even the windshield?

2019-11-25 23:39:31 UTC

Also.. yes @Nat i watch Japanese cartoons every once and a while.

2019-11-25 23:39:47 UTC

that's... rather bizarre.

2019-11-25 23:39:52 UTC

No that's a normal windshield

2019-11-25 23:40:21 UTC

Bullet proof glass is very thick

2019-11-25 23:40:24 UTC

I'm no pity partier for cops but god damn, not even bulletproof vehicles?

2019-11-25 23:40:35 UTC

it would only make sense

2019-11-25 23:41:05 UTC

No department would be able to afford that.

2019-11-25 23:41:25 UTC

Outside of a few SWAT vehicles

2019-11-25 23:42:11 UTC

>controversial anime
Anime that depicts rape as bad in order to make you instantly get behind the MC's hatred of goblins isn't "controversial".
Triggering to skittlehaired professional victims, sure. But controversial, no.

2019-11-25 23:42:17 UTC

then it should be a federal grant, for fucks sake. If we're going to be a freely armed populace, why the fuck should our basic law enforcement rely on basic bitch kevlar vests at most?!

2019-11-25 23:43:01 UTC

Cops have body armor.

2019-11-25 23:43:18 UTC

That's generally good enough.

2019-11-25 23:43:38 UTC

:/ <:Doubt:588038713938804760>

2019-11-25 23:43:55 UTC

So it’s goblin slayer or w/e? Ok ty I thought it was porn 😔

2019-11-25 23:44:17 UTC

Nat you're an animal

2019-11-25 23:44:19 UTC

Iirc body armor is only really good for one hit and then that shit sharply drops in effectiveness

2019-11-25 23:44:28 UTC

Aren’t we all?

2019-11-25 23:44:31 UTC

Depends on where the second hit is.

2019-11-25 23:44:41 UTC

well there's that one about a gambling ring around women pushing each other off of platforms with nothing but titty and booty MMA

2019-11-25 23:44:43 UTC

But yeah most modern armor is ablative in some way

2019-11-25 23:44:59 UTC

Actually, how often DO cops get killed in the line of duty? I'm curious now.

2019-11-25 23:45:54 UTC

not that uncommon, from what I understand

2019-11-25 23:46:08 UTC

Lack of armored cars has never really been a thing that LEO/feds have pushed even after things like the North Hollywood Shootout that gave us the 40S&W @Jokerfaic

2019-11-25 23:46:32 UTC

Reason why I wouldn't say old anti-tank rifles and such are universally useless against modern armor. You might not be able to take it out by yourself, but you might be able to "open it up" for other anti-tank weapons by drastically reducing the effectiveness of the countermeasures for those other weapons.

A 50BMG will punch through most armored cars.
Only dedicated armored vehicles would stop those. @Eirshy

2019-11-25 23:50:27 UTC

@UrstMcRedHead Yeah and I'm talking dedicated armored vehicles. Reactive armor, by its very nature, becomes less effective the more "damage" it soaks, and most dedicated armor is reactive in some way.
.50 BMG ain't going through an Abrams, current top-of-the-line model Abrams is relatively resistant to AT rockets too.
But a ton of specific spots hit by .50 BMG followed by an AT rocket, and you might be able to get somewhere reliably.

hol' up my real name also has an "r" <:hyperthink:462282519883284480>
