Santeria... magic is the creation of a belief. it is an elaborate way of tricking oneself into having faith. the magician could just skip all that and just have faith. but even better than that is to dedicate their life to glorifying God and serving without expecting anything in return. That's called 'karma yoga' or God-realization through selfless action. The more attachments a person has in the world, the more pain will be experienced when the demons come to take everything away.
