I disagree, it's not going to cost an obscene amount of money, nor will it take multiple generations
The. British. Empire. Already. Did. This.
you need at least two generations one that is fully trained and is able to teach, and the generation that is being taught. Ideality you would have three so even the ones teaching can have people long experienced in the field to call on. you also require a massive shilt in culture within the country
The Obamas are a special breed of delusional shitbag
You train the one generation and provide them the tools for sucess (The investment) and you don't need to do much else as generally as we've seen historically that succeeds
If you want to remain there for more than one generation, keep building, building, building and increasing control then that country would become a sattelite state
But I'm not advocating for that
The funding for this doesn't even need to be that large. Provide companies incentives to go there and let the market take over there
we did that. in the early 20th century. it rotted away before our eyes. countries that thrived in the british empire became just a bad as those around them in a staggeringly short time.
That happened to countries in the former British Empire because we just cut them off. We didn't provide a transition for them. Their economies were 'colonial economies' which were designed purely for raw resource production, we sucked as much out of them as possible and then just dumped them.
In this instance America won't be doing that. They will be going in with the mindset of NOT doing that. Meaning, you go in there to establish manufacturing and services in their economy, which means it can provide for itself
you want infrastructure, you first require a stable governing system, followed by generations of work to ensure a cultural and intellectual value to what is created.
> followed by generations of work to ensure a cultural and intellectual value to what is created.
That will come from the people themselves and not from much American influence, else you will have negative outcomes
i agree. that is why amarica should do nothing
no investment at all.
> you first require a stable governing system
True, the issues there right now are corruption and violence from cartels
> i agree. that is why amarica should do nothing
And you'll continue to see millions of people coming to your border and more caravans then 🤷
then build the wall. and let them come. until those motivated people who will walk a thousand miles say "fuck it, its easier to fix shit here"
Your wall might stop the caravans, but not all those overstaying their visas
sure you can, cut visa programs, enforce deportment
Good luck
there should be a knock on the for at 12 midnight the day your visa expires.
cutting visa programs is easy as pie, honestly work visa for anything other than specialists or people who intend to immigrate is a scam anyway, all it dose is overload the work force.
I'd be onboard, but imagine if they pull a fuckin Richard Jewell
