And the typical diet has too much of it
^
the correct amount is the amount our body synthesizes >.>
Maybe in your case Moon
But not in typical cases
^
Every body is different, every body reacts and behaves differently
I think its pretty standard
I dont see why that is so hard for you to understand
Without a way to elevate your heartrate and change your metabolism in response to stress your diet had to be different
I'm not saying a small amount of saturated fats will kill you. Heck I get a ton from nuts and seeds
The human body nutritionally is the furthest from standard you can get
You can have general ranges but pretty much every component of metabolic activity is genetically based
at least if you can afford all the expensive testing
Can find out precisely what digestive enzymes you have the most of, inflammatory repsonses, HDL/LDL levels in response to diet, allergies minor and major caloric requirements protein synth yeah it's crazy the amount of variance there is
Your diet also lacks alot of B12, calcium, zinc, and iron
zinc supplements are typically larger than is healthy
no i get a ton of zinc from lentils :p
my iron levels were also perfect.
You eat a lot of nuts
All of which are necessary nutrients you dont get naturally in the correct amounts in typical vegan diets
Esp B12
Thats the big one
Now when you talk about nigerians are you talking abour city folks or tribesman?
With b12 its important to remember it doesn't come from animals per se but from microbes. We used to get a lot of b12 from unwashed plant foods as well, in the dirt. Also drinking water from streams and rivers. But because we don't want cholera now we drink filtered water
Keep in mind, other great apes also need b12 and they get enough in the wild even on plant-based diets
Cuz alot of those "mostly" plant based eating folks in africa look like they are about one sandwhich away from starvation
And they probably are
sure.
i agree
but it doesnt matter with regard to the point
b12 isnt the only thing required to lower homocysteine. There's also folate, which carnivore dieters struggle to intake
Almost no humans are carnivores tho
Unless out of ignorance or medical necessity
I love my meats but even I only eat them in moderation
well they mentioned jordan peterson earlier
only reason I brought it back up
And he was on that diet by medical advice
I thought it was because of his daughter
She was put on it by medical directive
There is also a significsnt difference in the way they are eating meat vs the standard american diet
