Good article. I didn't have the statistics for it but have observed an anecdotal evidence all the same. I'm in heavy industry where the racial balance is closer to the national average. A lot of these young guys figure out they can make money and raise a family and they take to it like a fish to water.

Also been following the FIRST STEP program and it makes sense. A lot of recidivism is the inability to get ahead without returning to crime. The unemployment rate is so low now that employers are more willing to take a chance.

@Ankha I'm not sure what the best way to do this is.
There is a lot of generational damage to the black community. If we pulled the plug cold turkey It would lead to complete and utter collapse.
Maybe we could just flip the script on who it's offered to and how long its available?
Maybe saying you can't get governmental assistance unless you are married?
Just incentivizing good things over bad things would be helpful.
Like maybe you get some incentive if you are married with children. Maybe preferential treatment or perks.
The scope will have to make being productive and independent more appealing than being irresponsible or a drain on the system.
