Or are scared of the ones they know
If you are willing to kill/die for a made up construct you are mentally defective tbh
wether religion is a deficiency is irrelevant, I'm not a "militant athiest" wishing to take that away from them, I'm just mindful of the few that wish to game the system based on nought but their beliefs
And what if you arent willing yo kill for your religion
Are you still mentally defective?
Most sane and rational people dont want to kill other people
whether sikhs can be trusted with knives in any number of circumstances is irrelevant, they're still being afforded a priviledge others aren't based on something that, frankly, can't be measured
Their faith requires them to carry a blunted dagger it is a religious object related to their faith
So is their turban
its little better than saying someone else gets to bring something into the cab that you can't because they're more patriotic than you or some shit
If you are willing to concede your god might not be real or at the very least is not worth killing and/or dying over you may end up marginalised by your community <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
I am not willing to posit the idea I may be wrong to people who are not willing to extend the same courtesy
I know in Africa (having seen it) denying god in some parts or those whose faith was found wanting were executed 🤷
If your boogeyman reaches down from the skies and says "storin my dude, i'm real" I'll convert, till then it doesn't exist
And in china millions died who refused to relinquish their faith by state mandate
well hearing its blunted is a detail that shifts my concerns a bit, but still
Because if he does exist then you have to justify every ail this world suffers
I suppose I should amend my statement to firearms
Most people carry knives of a sort
No I dont
What did children deserve to get cancer for example, since its either 1) gods plan, or 2) he has the ability to stop such ailments and refuses, or 3) he doesn't have the power to do so, which leads to 4) is he really real or even all knowing all doing 🤔
If the entire point of life is to put you through the ringer for a higher purpose that is the point of ails
Different people are tested differently
Not a truth most christians are willing to admit
The onus is on you to justify these thigns by saying hes real, I am saying hes not real and people get sick and there is nothing we can do outside of modern medicine
erm, did you bother to even ask if he's a believer?
Nope, but that appeared to be the premise
cuz if not you're asking someone to justify shit that isn't relevant to them
Well the point would still be relevant
Nnnnnnot really
Yes really
that'd be like asking me to justify god and shit
or communism
Bottom line gods aren't real, if you want to leave the door open thats fine, but if you say "i believe" or "he believes" whatever, then you and/or they have to justify that belief, and its very easy for me to turn around and say those points as I just did
Which put any believer in a tricky position and either proves they aren't a real supporter or they are insane
or the practices of factory farming of animal livestock
If you argue point 1 gods plan- that is a bad argument, I throat chop your neighbour, that gods plan? and tht makes it a terrible argument, point 2 means your god is likely evil and watching suffering going on and chooses to do nothing, point 3 he's not powerful and cant do anything/everything, 4 he doesn't exist and therefore unable to stop any harm.
The point of evil and ails are trials and free will
You really want to argue free will and trials <:pepe:312704217028493312>
