2019-10-09 15:46:58 UTC

Yes now there are two of us qweryty

2019-10-09 15:46:59 UTC

But officially filled, next

2019-10-09 15:47:00 UTC

Tax it

2019-10-09 15:47:20 UTC

Incrementally increase tax as a percentage of the property value, based on how long it has been empty

2019-10-09 15:47:24 UTC

Besides which, punative taxes on empty homes doesn't affect the middle classes, you gimp

2019-10-09 15:47:29 UTC

Oh not it wouldn't be empty

2019-10-09 15:47:34 UTC

It would be my office

2019-10-09 15:47:36 UTC

Want to sit in 10 empty houses? Fine, pay up.

2019-10-09 15:47:37 UTC

But I'd never go there

2019-10-09 15:47:43 UTC

You know what. I like this tax idea @Eccles

2019-10-09 15:47:47 UTC

I'll give you that.

2019-10-09 15:47:57 UTC

to be honest pie, we probably don't even need more tax on the rich, just less loop holes, but it's basically the same thing

2019-10-09 15:47:57 UTC

I'd give councils the options to compulsory purchase if empty for 5 years, Nathan

2019-10-09 15:48:06 UTC

Make it 4

2019-10-09 15:48:09 UTC

Ya that is true qwerty

2019-10-09 15:48:10 UTC

With my tax plan on top

2019-10-09 15:48:11 UTC

Deal.

2019-10-09 15:48:23 UTC

That’s why remaining in a large area which is stamping down on loop holes

2019-10-09 15:48:28 UTC

And tax evasion

2019-10-09 15:48:30 UTC

Perfectly reasonable given that they don't own the land the property is on

2019-10-09 15:48:33 UTC

Is a good thing 🙂

2019-10-09 15:48:37 UTC

Nuking London is always a solution

2019-10-09 15:48:38 UTC

You can't treat residential property like other personal property because there isn't a free market for it

2019-10-09 15:48:49 UTC

Decrease the value of Property as investments

2019-10-09 15:48:58 UTC

PeP, you guys screwed the pooch on the EU when you turned it into a federal superstate project

2019-10-09 15:49:03 UTC

Now hold your tongue

2019-10-09 15:49:03 UTC

So you want to eliminate the property investment scene essentially.

2019-10-09 15:49:23 UTC

No, just use the property

2019-10-09 15:49:24 UTC

Easy.

2019-10-09 15:49:31 UTC

I would, Joshu, but a tax on empty residential property isn't that, chief

2019-10-09 15:49:36 UTC

You want to eliminate property

2019-10-09 15:49:43 UTC

What?

2019-10-09 15:49:54 UTC

I dont see the problem with people owning empty properties... its not like their arent enough

2019-10-09 15:49:59 UTC

You can use it

2019-10-09 15:50:01 UTC

There aren't enough

2019-10-09 15:50:02 UTC

there is currently an "oversupply"

2019-10-09 15:50:03 UTC

For investment

2019-10-09 15:50:05 UTC

That is using it

2019-10-09 15:50:24 UTC

@PureEvilPie as someone incapable of work do to mental issues saying that people should pay more tax can be seen as a bit self serving, but I'd like to think I'd stick to my principals even if I had a job.

2019-10-09 15:50:29 UTC

That's odd, there's an oversupply, but despite there being an oversupply, homes are unaffordable, and more than 2million people are homeless or inadequately housed
