Britons shall never be slaves

2019-10-16 11:19:56 UTC

I dunno, after october we shall see if we are slaves

2019-10-16 11:20:07 UTC

Death to the EU no foreign nation should make a single British law

2019-10-16 11:20:08 UTC

@Samaritan for that I agree.

2019-10-16 11:20:17 UTC

i hope, hope that we finally leave

2019-10-16 11:20:24 UTC

I don't think we will

2019-10-16 11:20:37 UTC

Barnier pulled a last minute yesterday, gave the UK till midnight to agree to the backstop

2019-10-16 11:20:50 UTC

If BoJo cowarded out and agreed then its done

2019-10-16 11:21:12 UTC

I haven't been following Brexit recently so I really can't comment

2019-10-16 11:21:35 UTC

The globalists and EU sycophants need us to fail tbh so we go crawling back to the EU and agree to everything they ask

2019-10-16 11:22:05 UTC

Last time I was totally in the loop was when Parliament was in intentional deadlock to stop the UK leaving

2019-10-16 11:22:50 UTC

I'm haunted by the idea that remain will just rejoin no matter how many years it takes them to get it done

2019-10-16 11:23:46 UTC

There would have to be another referendum to rejoin so there is at least that

2019-10-16 11:25:03 UTC

https://thebritishlibertarian.com/will-brexit-happen/ I wrote that last week I think, made one about the Queens speech yesterday and the key points, and today I think I will write one up on the current state of the UK/EU situation, though tbh I don't care about BRexit anymore, doomer in me says it will fail, if not now then down the line 🤔

2019-10-16 11:25:41 UTC

I want to write about how the EU actually operates too because most people don't even know that <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-10-16 11:25:48 UTC

Wtf

2019-10-16 11:25:56 UTC

Let me check that out

2019-10-16 11:26:03 UTC

Also

2019-10-16 11:26:04 UTC

would it be possible for the monarchy to use the brexit debacle to gain more power?

2019-10-16 11:26:04 UTC

It isn't obvious how any of this will play out in the long term rejoin/remain might be an issue for years to come or perhaps they'd forget about it the moment something vaguely shiny caught their attention

2019-10-16 11:26:13 UTC

I think that is what is happening death

2019-10-16 11:26:33 UTC

The monarchy would never sweep in and red wedding parliament, but there is definitely more sentiment to the tune of "the queen could do better than this shit show"

2019-10-16 11:26:45 UTC

Though I personally lean towards the idea that it'll be a burning pain for them and linger in their minds like independence does with scots and Irish

2019-10-16 11:27:19 UTC

We effectively have a govt that can not pass a single law because the opposition now holds more power

2019-10-16 11:27:32 UTC

They have had a 100% failure rate at getting a law passed

2019-10-16 11:28:04 UTC

Not in the current social climate no but in an alternate reality where the right wing monarchist types control the overtone window that could very well happen not that Brexit would be a problem in that reality

2019-10-16 11:28:35 UTC

If im being honest I think the days of the monarch are numbered

2019-10-16 11:28:45 UTC

*overton

2019-10-16 11:28:45 UTC

Most people did not pick up that the queen refused to wear the crown for the speech...

2019-10-16 11:28:57 UTC

Its kind of worse then that because they made no deal illegal and since they are remain they'll deny any deal that is presented to them

2019-10-16 11:29:45 UTC

Yea, so what they are trying to do is get every option to fail except an extension, which if that happens then BoJo will be called out for failing in his "do or die" stance

2019-10-16 11:30:33 UTC

I personally think he should go fire and ash and just burn any deal and tell them we are leaving on the 31st, for the court to bring a trial against a PM would force a constitution crisis in itself and would force a general election

2019-10-16 11:30:46 UTC

And his front bench are actually on board with BRexit now, mostly even a no deal one

2019-10-16 11:31:25 UTC

The problem with that is the UK would leave but then remain would be like nah you cheated and unironically try and undo it

2019-10-16 11:31:40 UTC

Or he can refuse to honour the ben act as I suggested stating that its not enshrined in EU law and thus has no power, if the remainers want they can argue that is wrong, but then they would be arguing against every EU law to date <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-10-16 11:32:01 UTC

Imao

2019-10-16 11:32:02 UTC

It'd be the rhetoric about the Brexit vote being won by cheating but turned up to 11

2019-10-16 11:32:06 UTC

And the argument would be which is superior, EU or UK law

2019-10-16 11:32:26 UTC

In this case it'd be whatever lets them win

2019-10-16 11:32:41 UTC

After all in their minds they are saying UK law to side with the EU

2019-10-16 11:32:50 UTC

Of course they'd never say that without that pretence
