State planning OUT
The government should exist to protect individual rights and regulate the economy insofar as it protects the individual, both economically and ethically. Nothing more.

Because I don't really subscribe to an ideology too much, I just want things to work out if possible, no matter the methods (within reason).
@carlton⢠is not good for imperialism and American economy.

But the American economy is the strongest in the world, with high purchasing power and GDP per capita.
Guess the American economy is secretly shit though.
It's heading the wrong way now
Because it has state planning, huge army and bureaucrats.
The American economy is not a planned economy.
Even calling it a mixed economy would be a huge stretch.
It goes as far as subsidies to farmers and bank bailouts (which I personally disagree with).
But state planning? You're lying to yourself.
It's a shit economy, that's what it is

woah
@carlton⢠Government in USA controls every fucking breath.
price fixing is state planning and has always proven to be shit
Do you live in the US, Firefly?
Because that's false.
Yes
Businesses run thegovernment and banks
Go back to Ukraine then if you hate how the US government is controlling your every fucking breath which they're not.
Welfare and benefits will keep being raised until the govt is unable to provide. The people will get angry, because they think they're entitled to it, and anarchy will attempt to be made. History repeats itself.
The myth of unlimited growth.
@carlton⢠I will go if your government sponsors revolution in Russia.
Saying that America is a planned economy is just laughable. You'd have to be extremely uneducated on US economics to have that opinion.
More like the myth of equality
^ that to
What part of the government coordinates central planning exactly?
Can you name the effects of the last American Five-Year Plan?
I thought not.
Or the glorious Great Leap Forward
That turned out wonderful
