fk this is deep
You can recursively go further and further down the "proof" that something real is more valuable than something fake, but eventually you hit a point where you can't give any more objective value to something
Does a cat question it's own realness?
I think your prison is your own fear and intellect.
real memories are more valuable because they're results of real events
-> real events are more valuable because they shaped reality
-> an effect on reality is more valuable because ...
where's the foundation at the end of this
there is none
everything is subjective
It is true that that humans have a much harder task. Because we can contemplation our own responsibility. Sure, our nature is compassion, really, to end our anxieties. But we are not gods, yet. We have to still return to the true understanding to be happy.
I will not argue you the 'realness' of things.
Because I know, you already know.
>stating that our nature is compassion
>implying that we will be gods
>implying that there is some true way of being happy
Such a tall building on no foundation
Okay, I am optimistic, but only trying to appeal to you.
I want you to enjoy life
everything is subjective but only a few things are viable when you want a good life
Whether living blind or seeing is subjective, but not really you know
If you will not fall for it, I have the redpill here also.
But you asked for it.
Give you consent.
First of all, our nature is selfish, not compassionate.
Second, implying that we will be gods is extremely optimistic and will probably never be an option for us, at least not in our current biological shape or form.
And last but not least, there is no true way of being happy, "being happy" is just a transient, chemical state which's interpretation is up to us.
Our nature seems to be more on cooperation than selfishness (the two can work together)
I'm sorry you believe we are set against each other.
You can see this in pretty much every species, the top priority is to ensure an individuals well being, the second priority is to ensure the well being of individuals around it
And this is no "evil selfishness", it's just the design for basically every species as a result of evolution
Our first ancestor was essentially a machine. A single celled organism with very few goals. Survive, consume, reproduce. How are we any different?
Humans evolved in groups, it's not the lone individual of who we evolved from
There's still priorities, and the individual is always its own top priority
The problem is, how to overcome this robotic existence.
Bullshit.
Scientifically, we have no free will. We are conscious insects.
The two align most of the time
Be a selfish asshole and you'll fall out of the group
By removing the flawed biological beings that humans are and replacing them with machines
>no free will
gtfo
gtfo what?
i hate the no free will meme, does it even matter if it's true or not?
Show me free will, I will paypal you 1,000 AUS
It's the inevitable next step of evolution
It's a bs meme pushed by nihilists
i just choose to type this message out of my own free will
