We are just doing other things, besides being solid and connected to existance.
I'm talking shit now. Thanks for listening.
And is there any intrinsic value you lose, when being disconnected from reality
Yes. All life is defined by how close he is to reality. If he lives in fantasy, he is a slave. If he live raw and hard, but still close his to means, he is enlightening, and understanding of his world.
The more people organise above you, or behind you, or for you, the little you know about your world.
Being naked and unafraid of the world is the clearest path to truth.
Who is he a slave of when living in their own fantasy
Simply, the world is prepared for you, the digest in a certain way. It is fake.
Ultimately your life is a series of experiences, what makes "real" input more valuable than imaginary but equally perceived input.
I understand what Chopin is saying
really I find anarcho-primitivism ideal for the soul
and the body
but we're close to being able to manipulate both anyway
genetic engineering will be an enormous progression
it will make this sort of rhetoric obsolete
What makes memories which you acquired through real sensory input more valuable than memories which were given to you by a machine
Easy. The memories you gain not direct are fake.
They are noise in your signal.
But what makes non-fake memories more valuable then
Only because they are real. If you don't care, live in fantasy.
You can recursively go further and further down the "proof" that something real is more valuable than something fake, but eventually you hit a point where you can't give any more objective value to something
Does a cat question it's own realness?
I think your prison is your own fear and intellect.
real memories are more valuable because they're results of real events
-> real events are more valuable because they shaped reality
-> an effect on reality is more valuable because ...
where's the foundation at the end of this
there is none
everything is subjective
It is true that that humans have a much harder task. Because we can contemplation our own responsibility. Sure, our nature is compassion, really, to end our anxieties. But we are not gods, yet. We have to still return to the true understanding to be happy.
I will not argue you the 'realness' of things.
Because I know, you already know.
>stating that our nature is compassion
>implying that we will be gods
>implying that there is some true way of being happy
Such a tall building on no foundation
Okay, I am optimistic, but only trying to appeal to you.
I want you to enjoy life
everything is subjective but only a few things are viable when you want a good life
Whether living blind or seeing is subjective, but not really you know
If you will not fall for it, I have the redpill here also.
But you asked for it.
Give you consent.
First of all, our nature is selfish, not compassionate.
Second, implying that we will be gods is extremely optimistic and will probably never be an option for us, at least not in our current biological shape or form.
And last but not least, there is no true way of being happy, "being happy" is just a transient, chemical state which's interpretation is up to us.
