@bobdebuilder MacArthur would not have been able to take on the USSR. And the US benefited more from Soviet involvement in the war when you take into consideration the fact that most of the fighting took place between the Red Army and the Germans. In fact, a number of scholars have suggested that the Red Army may have been able to defeat the Germans without help from the US military.

2017-12-11 09:26:16 UTC

espicially not during war time

2017-12-11 09:26:38 UTC

and its not like the red army was huge

2017-12-11 09:26:46 UTC

and a number of AMERICANS would defect

2017-12-11 09:26:51 UTC

obviously the us benefited our only plan was to stop the germans

2017-12-11 09:26:53 UTC

bringing guns

2017-12-11 09:27:11 UTC

they figured russia could help if they had more cash flow and it worked

2017-12-11 09:27:32 UTC

if they would have flipped and blown russia out there wouldn't have been a cold war

2017-12-11 09:27:35 UTC

ok what would the world be like if the usa was the socialist one

2017-12-11 09:27:39 UTC

and russia was capitalist

2017-12-11 09:28:14 UTC

then the USA would probably not exist by that point

2017-12-11 09:28:16 UTC

heh

2017-12-11 09:28:26 UTC

capitalism is the only reason the us had the resources to fund the war in the first place

2017-12-11 09:28:47 UTC

if i have 1 million soldiers with no guns

2017-12-11 09:28:56 UTC

and you have 1 soldier with gun whos gonna win

2017-12-11 09:29:02 UTC

socialism creates low economic growth

2017-12-11 09:29:09 UTC

doesn't matter "nuke"

2017-12-11 09:29:12 UTC

lol

2017-12-11 09:29:17 UTC

2017-12-11 09:29:20 UTC

loll

2017-12-11 09:29:20 UTC

technology is a big factor in war

2017-12-11 09:29:49 UTC

Capitalo-imperialism* and the systematic plundering of resource-rich countries in the tireless pursuit of ever-greater profits.

2017-12-11 09:29:56 UTC

the russians in 1945 had no mechanism to defeat a the us if nukes were to be employed

2017-12-11 09:30:12 UTC

by the 50s they wouldve won

2017-12-11 09:30:29 UTC

they wouldn't have been on the map at that point

2017-12-11 09:30:36 UTC

i don't know how you don't see that

2017-12-11 09:30:50 UTC

no im saying if the war started in the 50s-60s the soviets wouldve won

2017-12-11 09:31:15 UTC

okay yeah if the us would have taken a break then it would have been fair? lol wtf

2017-12-11 09:31:30 UTC

the us in the 1950s still had more warpower than the russians did

2017-12-11 09:31:37 UTC

if the korean war started it

2017-12-11 09:31:43 UTC

ww3

2017-12-11 09:31:45 UTC

it was mutally assured destruction at that point

2017-12-11 09:32:16 UTC

we could have both destroyed each other not much sense in that

2017-12-11 09:32:28 UTC

imperialism lol

2017-12-11 09:32:28 UTC

At that point the US did have more warheads.
