Next is obviously, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. But can't decide whether I sould start with Island or just jump to brave new world. I read Animal Farm first of Orwell. I think it was good for context.

If anything I think it should mandatory for you guys to listen to Aldous Huxley's Ultimate revolution recording.
It's very informative to know about the technocratic dictatorship we might have in the future.

2019-09-14 00:38:32 UTC

Tag this in your list it's very important.

2019-09-14 00:43:58 UTC

@Deleted User Brave New World was good as well, many people dislike it for defending Fordianism in it

2019-09-14 00:45:14 UTC

Its really how you look at it

2019-09-14 00:45:25 UTC

At the same time I don't wish to depress myself further reading Brave New World. I was so strongly hit 1984 that I don't want a similar experience like that too soon.
I was in the process of reading Atlas Shrugged but I kinda tired it was driving me a little insane tbh

Nah Actually Adlous Huxley was against Fordianism it's a criticism of Ford's ideas and of Capitalism at the same time. Also showing us the negative sides of Futurism.

2019-09-14 00:46:01 UTC

I meant to say “he defends it in the book”

2019-09-14 00:46:07 UTC

Giving them another view

2019-09-14 00:47:02 UTC

1984 didn’t hit me that much

2019-09-14 00:47:18 UTC

I see, I thought he critisized it. Though I haven't read it so I can't say.
I personally haven't much problem with Ford's ideas until they don't turn dogmatic for me.

2019-09-14 00:47:36 UTC

It was more of “oh fuck people are going to miss-interrupt this to hell”

2019-09-14 00:50:33 UTC

It wasn't something like that for me, I thought most people wouldn't be able to understand 1984.
You know if people read it seriously, which they do not. They will realize the current trend of anti scientific mentality we have today is extremely detrimental to us and beneficial for our rulers.

2019-09-14 00:50:54 UTC

Scientific?

2019-09-14 00:50:54 UTC
