Simone de Beauvoir is one of the most influential feminists of her time she has also been called the Mother of feminism, she has also been known to be a philosopher. In the book Second Sex French existentialist Simone de Beauvoir expians that there and difference in both genders. Genders being males and females. She claimed their are biological difference and psychological differences and many more kind of differences and she goes over some of them.Simone de Beauvoir also made another claim in the same book that regardless of these know differences both genders should be treated the same.she left no philosophical bases for this.well the philosophical question i would make is why should 2 different things to treated the same? Difference why shouldtn difference treated in different ways?and my argument is differences should be treated differently. We don't some with a small difference the same such let's say someone was blind and and another man wasn't so...would you let the bilnd man be a bus driver? well no, you won't because he will end up killing himself and other people in the bus most likely but you are more likely to let a man who can see be a bus driver.we only treated them differently because they were different. Let me give another example when we don't treat them differently when needed what happens? Good example would be trans people in sports. Trans-woman end up dominating the arena. A UFC match winner who is a trans woman won by crashing a skull of her opponent. And when females transgention dont dont change sport teams manly because they don't do so well and so they don't change sports teams because they know they won't do well.
