I found character templates and I used them for a few characters; the timeline, if I do write it, I do it in word as dates and events in a list

Yeah, get's annoying to organize it though.

This is definitely true. Sometimes I'll come up with one person and then I feel like they are paper thin. I never know how far I should write them - should they have parents? Where did their parents come from?

I'm also bad at analyzing traits

Making their costumes and their looks is easy, as is basing their personalities on their looks

Creating the system is also easy, but then you have to start writing characters with different voices and back stories and stories that significantly influence their speech and actions

To me unless it’s the main character, or is a family legacy name. I don’t mind their name too much.
