A centralized body can't be expected to control the sheer size of market society, having business and enterprise vested (for the most part) in individuals ensures the existance of small businesses and variety. It would be a bleak world without bakeries or with government controlled bakeries. Capitalism does have its shortcomings i.e a lot of businesses don't have any need to innovate products, all they have to do is advertise in new ways, employers want to pay their employees as little as possible which perpetuates income inequality in low skill industries but whilst being a fault of capitalism, it doesn't have to be a fault of capitalism if you know what I mean
