Tru, the "confederate flag" wasn't the flag to represent the Confederate nation it was just the flag they flew while killing union soldiers

the Union were the good guys, that’s for sure, so that’s why I wouldn’t fly the confederate flag

The North sucks today but it was good back then, for the most part

Pretty much, I know a guy who is way more into the Civil War. He said that the is wasn’t all that justified like WWII

They tried to overthrow the constitution and president who was honoring his commitment to it, treason.

He said the south didn’t only break off because of slavery and weren’t all evil

I really can't understand why anyone would associate with the Confederacy in anyway

Same, but I don’t really see using the flag as an association, remember, most people who use it see themselves as brave, rebellious, American heroes, I don’t really think they’re really into history and meaning

It’s not about associating with the confederacy it’s just that it’s part of our history and it can’t be ignored in anyway

That doesnt really mean you should fly the flag and in many cases blatantly deny the actual history

It doesn’t mean you’re a rebel right wing skinhead it just means that the values of the south when the country was founded had their ways of doing things and if you keep to historical nature there’s no wrong in talking about the confederacy and it’s history
