yeah, the funny thing with the collective ownership being most effective thing is that it's literally always failed
yeah it never works
and lefty communes try it over and over again
@Orlunu a farm can exist a a family for hundreds of years without a clear beneficiary and its still technically shared or collectivized land to the family
yeah but there's always a sole owner, or it can be held in a trust
though I don't know a whole lot about the legal mumbo jumbo with that
missing some important word early on there, but family ownership and community collective ownership are very much the same thing
unless we're going to have a community patriarch in this model who makes the decisions for the "household"
so fi you cant portion off a majority of the ladn for uses like farming who will be able to farm
What?
it doesnt matter but if you do not use community funding for certain projects you will never be a community...i could jsut farm and sell it to china if it was up to me
but the community expects community treatment without the investment
none of what you're saying matches history
there have been plenty of non-communist communities
this is not a government with millions of people
again, non-sequitur
didn't say it was
i dont think you need any kind of a collective owndership to have a functioning community. There are otherways to ensure the strength of a community, such as normal personal relationships
yeah it doesn't need to be codified into rule
because small communities already operate along strong communal ties
ehh are they?
in what way?
yeah if your neighbor needs help raising a barn
you're going to help him
without asking for compensation
it's not even charity
it's just being neighborly
they also started when land could be bought for 5 bucks an acre...if i could buy land for that it wouldnt be a problem with needing to essentially crowdfund
ah alright
charity is a more accurate term for it than socialism
but we get what we mean
so it doesn't matter
if your friend has a sick kid and is struggling to pay for treatment, you're probably going to pitch in a few hundred, or even thousand
but charity has this connotation of helping "the lesser"
mmmh
in this case I wouldn't be giving my bro charity
yeah, kinda does
yeah thats the kind of community I can get behind
even if it's not strictly in the definitions
