The SSPX laity were just Catholics who refused to accept the novus ordo and doctrinal abiguities of VII

2018-09-29 21:48:08 UTC

But i want the blood of the martyrs to run the streets

2018-09-29 21:48:10 UTC

they couldn't exactly force diocesan parishes to continue the TLM

2018-09-29 21:48:22 UTC

I want to see excommunication of lefebvre

2018-09-29 21:48:27 UTC

So people wake up

2018-09-29 21:49:26 UTC

But instead he slinked away quietly and with a whisper not a bang. You get what im saying right?

2018-09-29 21:49:33 UTC

i meant we would have some discussion about this issue on the show

2018-09-29 21:49:39 UTC

the daily braap possibly next saturday

2018-09-29 21:50:06 UTC

with classical theist

2018-09-29 21:50:12 UTC

and maybe simon the sede

2018-09-29 21:50:22 UTC

but simon is no where near as educated as classical

2018-09-29 21:50:59 UTC

He was (falsely) excommunicated and he fought for the faith agressively when he was alive

2018-09-29 21:51:43 UTC

I'd watch, though theist is hard to listen too imho.

2018-09-29 21:52:09 UTC

His fight was well intended just on the wrong battlefield

2018-09-29 21:52:14 UTC

Is my point

2018-09-29 21:52:45 UTC

Anyone want to give their thoughts on the Borgias?

2018-09-29 21:52:47 UTC

Aka

2018-09-29 21:53:00 UTC

yeah but if theist is with other people

2018-09-29 21:53:04 UTC

he will be way more bearable

2018-09-29 21:53:11 UTC

he will be with me and others

2018-09-29 21:53:13 UTC

Pope Alexander VI

2018-09-29 21:53:29 UTC

i read lefabrve wasnt actually excommunicated

2018-09-29 21:54:32 UTC

he wasn't validly, because the reason was ridiculous and uncanonical

2018-09-29 21:55:33 UTC

Again the primary reason he founded the SSPX was to continue administering the Mass and sacraments to the faithful under the traditional pre-VII form, which would have been impossible any other way

2018-09-29 21:55:47 UTC

faithful laity who were in a spiritual crisis without that

2018-09-29 21:59:10 UTC

ok serious quesytion how am i supposed to celebrate all these amazing feast days

2018-09-29 21:59:22 UTC

FSSPers wouldn't have their fssp and summorum pontificum if he hadn't done it

2018-09-29 21:59:40 UTC

probably true

2018-09-29 22:01:19 UTC

If you have a 1962 missal it has dedicated prayers for all of the feast days

2018-09-29 22:01:24 UTC

True, it's more about the future now. FSSP is growing whilst the SSPX situation seems to only be done right by a conservative pope. Kinda waiting for that so things get cleared up. I just don't want people to fall for sedes.

2018-09-29 22:02:11 UTC

Not saying SSPX is sede to clarfiy. But even in my parish voices are heard. We have to be careful.

2018-09-29 22:04:16 UTC

true but the sspx is anti-sede too

2018-09-29 22:06:36 UTC

^^

2018-09-29 22:06:41 UTC

yeah dont have that

2018-09-29 22:06:45 UTC

a missal

2018-09-29 22:10:11 UTC

Just because we dont know what wouldve happened doesnt mean lefebvre and others made the best decision for the future of the church

2018-09-29 22:12:23 UTC

We dont know what a little more laity and a little more clergy would have done to support Benedict. But instead his allies chastised him and seperated themselves as SSPX. Its possible that the St Gallen Mafia would have been defeated for good. But now we have a Francis Pontificate. And i think it vouod have been avoided if more Faithful remained to support her Papa Emeritus in the fight against modernism

2018-09-29 22:17:29 UTC

But we will never know either way UNLESS i see "significant" numbers indicating SSPX priests or faithful slowly returning to the church. Due to whatever. Then i would cacnonize lefebvre lol

2018-09-29 22:20:11 UTC

Ratzinger/Benedict was a slightly less liberal modernist, and regardless I’ve been talking about the 1970s in the immediate wake of VII.

2018-09-29 22:22:32 UTC

We're talking about a time when high altars and altar rails were being physically torn out of churches, and clown masses/'new sacraments' being forced on the laity

2018-09-29 22:24:20 UTC

Then this is just a misunderstanding lmao. There is indeed a big difference between then and now. My own archbishop removed the table himself as sign of what is to come.
