Earth's mass forms a gravitational pull.
I'm not invoking gravity, stop strawmaning me. I am only talking about a generic force. @rivenator12113
the question was " can you prove this second assertion?" lapizzleToday at 5:17 PM
@💀 Spooky River 💀 it is trivial to prove that
There is a force by definition
Gravity is caused from the mass of the Earth.
There are other theories that explain things going down. Saying '' things go down '' is also explained by other theories
Okay, great you started with something
can you show evidence thta definitions exert forces upon reality?
All of the other theories also invoke a force though @rivenator12113
*Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. All its mass makes a combined gravitational pull on all the mass in your body. That's what gives you weight. And if you were on a planet with less mass than Earth, you would weigh less than you do here.*
you could continue using "because the bible told me so" style non-arguments, but its invalid
Now is it possible to replicate the mass of the earth or something more massive and play with gravity?
In theory yes, you could realistically create something so big it has it's own gravitational force, yes.
well
in our model, everything has some gravitational force
How are you sure of that? @b_o_om
it is just so negligable
@rivenator12113 Because we see it from the Sun, of course you don't believe we orbit a sun, but how does one explain that we *don't* orbit?
What's your theory on the lack of gravity?
@b_o_om You can't play with the suns mass and see if you actually orbit it or not. Also do you have evidence that we orbit the sun?
Do you have evidence that we don't orbit the sun?
Can you prove your point of view?
I never said it did or did not. Strawman lol
What do you believe then?
That's not important, do you have evidence that we orbit the sun or not? If not then it's a waste of time
You made that claim. Don't get so defensive when someone asks for evidence
Earth orbits the Sun at an average distance of 149.60 million km (92.96 million mi), and one complete orbit takes 365.256 days (1 sidereal year), during which time Earth has traveled 940 million km (584 million mi). Earth's orbit has an eccentricity of 0.0167.
I can find multiple images, theories and other statements which make the claim of us orbiting the Sun.
Arguing against it would require a firm backing which you can assert which as far as I've seen, you don't have.
Someone asks for evidence of how we are orbiting the sun and you give them the distance and the time it takes the orbit? Lol, burden of proof fallacy again. You said that we did orbit the sun.
We do orbit the Sun, what do I need to say to prove such an already proven point?
It's like asking me to prove how I exist as a being, it's a definitive answer to merely look at me or for me to breathe.
We know we orbit around the sun because of the parallax of the stars and the aberration of their light @rivenator12113 (among many other proofs)
Lack of evidence again or are you not going to give me anything substantial? @b_o_om
Are you not going to prove I'm wrong?
The Earth orbits the sun. Prove me wrong.
What should I prove wrong when you haven't given any evidence to your beliefs.
