Gravity?
... ?
You're joking, right?
What stops you from floating off into the hemisphere?
What keeps you on the ground?
Like?
I myself amen't a flat earther, I'm just here to see your point of view.
Electromagnetism works through gravity and electrons.
Magnetism is essentially a form of backwards gravity.
I mean if we consider the numinous amounts of theories which prove gravity exists, what evidence is there to say it doesn't exist?
Magnet domains work on a spherical form, even when the magnetised item is a rectangle, a square, a circle, or any shape.
rude skelebones is feeling especially rattle-me-bones today
Wasn't this the server that Memeulous was on as well?
'Tis I.
Are all of you genuine flat Earthers? As in you could provide me with some insight?
I mean overall, the idea of a flat Earth is a bit absurd, I understand conspiracy theories and all but to believe something that has been proven numerous times only to say 'the government are lying' is very hard to understand.
What benefit do they gain from saying the Earth is a globe?
Or if you believe that they're doing it to hide something then sure, but if you can prove that they are then I'll come to believe in such claims.
Elaborate?
Jump up, you will come down, if gravity doesn't exist then you will continue upwards at the same speed you left the ground at.
Density?
Can I send a link?
A cause that happens only to gravity?
What do you believe exactly?
How do we stay on the ground with each step?
If I was to propel myself off my seat right at this instant, what's stopping me from ascending into space?
Earth's mass forms a gravitational pull.
Gravity is caused from the mass of the Earth.
*Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. All its mass makes a combined gravitational pull on all the mass in your body. That's what gives you weight. And if you were on a planet with less mass than Earth, you would weigh less than you do here.*
In theory yes, you could realistically create something so big it has it's own gravitational force, yes.
@rivenator12113 Because we see it from the Sun, of course you don't believe we orbit a sun, but how does one explain that we *don't* orbit?
What's your theory on the lack of gravity?
Do you have evidence that we don't orbit the sun?
Can you prove your point of view?
What do you believe then?
Earth orbits the Sun at an average distance of 149.60 million km (92.96 million mi), and one complete orbit takes 365.256 days (1 sidereal year), during which time Earth has traveled 940 million km (584 million mi). Earth's orbit has an eccentricity of 0.0167.
I can find multiple images, theories and other statements which make the claim of us orbiting the Sun.
Arguing against it would require a firm backing which you can assert which as far as I've seen, you don't have.
We do orbit the Sun, what do I need to say to prove such an already proven point?
It's like asking me to prove how I exist as a being, it's a definitive answer to merely look at me or for me to breathe.
Are you not going to prove I'm wrong?
The Earth orbits the sun. Prove me wrong.
'Scientism worshipper'
I don't know whether to laugh or be concerned.
Koala isn't wrong, but at the same time should the Earth not orbit the Sun so many things would be indescribable.
I'm no science freak or to be honest I don't enjoy arguing with people who are adamantly certain in their beliefs and won't back down from it or will make statements which change the course of an argument and make it seem like they've made no claims therefore they don't need to disprove anything.
Maybe that didn't come out right but it's 10pm.
Debates on such a topical subject such as a 'flat Earth' won't end in a 'X person is right' stance, perhaps the person has won on their end yet that won't convince the other person that they are right.
I see where you're coming from, but I just can't see how you can perceive the Earth as flat.
But hey-ho, I'm pretty new to all this stuff myself and need to dig a bit deeper.
Anywho on the flip side, would anyone like to indulge me on their beliefs on a flat Earth? I'm curious.

History is twisted.
History is written by the victors and the money-makers.
Chances are most things in History books are overly simplified or overly exaggerated.
NASA don't lie from my perspective, people just like to make conspiracies on such matters.
@Koalakitty If you can prove they're fake then shoot me a link.

@rivenator12113 Can you send me the img of where the highlights were taken from quickly?

@Aartii The very first 'flat Earthers' were religious, Christians believed for a long time that the Earth was flat, or that the Sun rotated around the Earth. But other than that a lot of Flat Earthers don't follow religion, while others do.
I think the whole Flat Earth thing doesn't coincide with religion all too well as it brings 'divine intervention' into the argument.
Logically speaking, neither side has sufficient evidence, or at least that's what each side says to one another.
@Aartii They're all pretty chill, considering they have roles for Globe Earthers and actually have an amount of respect for them is a breath of fresh air.
Then again, debating with them can bring name-calling or false claims into it but hey-ho, our beliefs are our beliefs.
I like to think what runs through flat Earthers heads sometimes, not in an insulting way but I'd just like to see things from their perspective.
Like, they seem like the type of people that double back to make sure a CIA agent isn't following them around every bend lmao.
technology big bad when you say it supports a globe earth though
>nasa controls your searches
>the internet blinds the truth
Jokes on NASA, I use **NordVPN**.
๐คท Earth is just a glorified living room with conspiracies in a single package.
