Not arguing that religious societies can't be moral, just that secular societies haven't been proven not to be

2019-04-25 07:48:09 UTC

I could spin it as one of my Xbox friends inviting me. She was fine with me meeting up with them last september for BDC R4.

2019-04-25 07:48:24 UTC

mass surveillance, a lobbyist government, wage stagnation, the exploitation of low wage migrants everywhere, massive inequalities and declining political freedoms aren't exactly a sign of moral exaltation @Sock

2019-04-25 07:49:22 UTC

secular societies are better at hiding crimes

2019-04-25 07:50:07 UTC

If I just up and left my Uni room, she'd start asking questions. I either want a story to tell before I go, or have the same one ready for when she questions me after I've left.

2019-04-25 07:50:08 UTC

the deep web is filled with... respectable citizens from secular societies

2019-04-25 07:51:10 UTC

Wtf how is that even? She does know that a young male need to date right. Is she okay with you dating?

2019-04-25 07:51:16 UTC

And she'd also question why I tunred off location services for the phone tracker app, or deleted it.

2019-04-25 07:51:46 UTC

@Deleted User I've never dated before, so I can't say for sure.

2019-04-25 07:51:46 UTC

abortion... is completely moral aswell I guess, same with the advocacy for euthanasia, forced vaccines and lgbtq+ rights... for children

2019-04-25 07:51:52 UTC

@TheTechnoVampire your mom doesn’t have a right to know

2019-04-25 07:52:05 UTC

Thats really bad mom for you man

2019-04-25 07:52:16 UTC

great signs of a... moral cohesion within secular societies @Sock

2019-04-25 07:52:32 UTC

Did you have to do any chores. Lack of chorse means lack of disciprine

2019-04-25 07:52:44 UTC

>disciprine

2019-04-25 07:52:48 UTC

Tiger mom confirmed

2019-04-25 07:53:05 UTC

Chores do not improve discipline, guidance does

2019-04-25 07:53:06 UTC

Just load/unload dishwasher and empty bins. That's it.

2019-04-25 07:53:13 UTC

Fr tho @TheTechnoVampire you don’t owe your mom anything for an explanation

2019-04-25 07:53:16 UTC

Thats not enough

2019-04-25 07:53:19 UTC

Standards of living, life expectancies, and personal freedoms for all people in first world countries today are better than any time in human history. You can always point to weak spots in any system, but across so many factors we're doing pretty damn good

2019-04-25 07:53:32 UTC

nah we're pretty bad

2019-04-25 07:53:37 UTC

You need to clean the showers vacuum clean

2019-04-25 07:53:41 UTC

Do you have a job

2019-04-25 07:53:46 UTC

Just a small one

2019-04-25 07:53:54 UTC

Like post or market

2019-04-25 07:54:03 UTC

pretty much endstage roman republic levels of immorality

2019-04-25 07:54:05 UTC

@Deleted User why’s the job matter?

2019-04-25 07:54:06 UTC

You need to develop as a man

2019-04-25 07:54:10 UTC

Ah

2019-04-25 07:54:17 UTC

Romans were religious

2019-04-25 07:54:37 UTC

He still doesn’t owe his mom anything though

2019-04-25 07:54:39 UTC

ye up until the end of the republic, then it was all about distraction

2019-04-25 07:54:43 UTC

Are you saying that these problems aren't unique to secularism

2019-04-25 07:54:48 UTC

I dont understand the mom is okay with him playing vidyagames all day.. but going out to socialise is bad <:what:382980756139409409>

2019-04-25 07:54:55 UTC

@Antiboom She's a strict, controlling woman. To help me with assignment work, she put blockers on phone and laptop to get me to go to sleep. She only uses them for turning my devices off at night, not for web fliters or anything like that.

2019-04-25 07:54:58 UTC

secularism is a sign of cultural decline

2019-04-25 07:55:08 UTC

@TheTechnoVampire does she pay for your college?

2019-04-25 07:55:19 UTC

That would explain everything

2019-04-25 07:55:25 UTC

Also are you asian

2019-04-25 07:55:29 UTC

No. I get grants so I can pay.
