What Silicon Valley is doing is unconstitutional, they’ve been getting away for censorship and violating people’s freedom of speech for far too long. I actually wouldn’t be surprised or would I ever feel sympathy for those far left authoritarians if their offices or they themselves get physically attacked in anyway, for what they do.
they are gona end getting the attention of the goverment in a bad way. and it gona end up with roules that they are gona complain about but desurve as they have shown they cant be trusted to govern it self to follow the previus rules

as consumers ppl need to shop with their wallets
lol I don't use my wallet.
There's no 'shopping'
@Deleted User no they haven't. They are private companies that can do whatever they fucking want mate.
Private corporations don't have to protect or provide free speech.
@Shurik Yet leftists think that a religious baker has to bake a cake for gays whether he likes it or not.
I mean they kind of have a point there with the 14th amendment and the non discrimination act.
But I don't agree with that point
@Fitzydog I mean is that all really news? I've been aware of this sort of stuff for ages. This kind of data gathering has been almost standard for the past decade. And data transfer/selling.
"Lol it's free enterprise, bruh! You can go elsewhere!"
You can. Lmao
You didn't watch the video then
Yeah well, these private companies are censoring anyone they don't like and they hold a monopoly on social media, tech, and the world wide web. They're WAY TOO POWERFUL to not be regulated by the federal government, in fact in my opinion, they need to be regulated even more than any other industry out there. @Shurik
I'm watching it and talking about it at the same time
I mean the whole Cambridge analytica thing is bogus just because it was done with a pretty simple scraping bot.
How about this? Free to use, and publicly accessible social media platforms should be hands off, and not censor, but paid ones can?
At what point is a social media platform considered "the public forum"?
@Shurik Facebook has your info, tracks your data, and now wants your bank details, even if you're not on the platform. Where's the choice to not use it then?
It should be public for everyone, if it claims to be one.
When social media becomes a public forum. That is a super scary place
Minds is a perfect example of this.
@Deleted User Sure, charge a dollar a month, who cares? If it's free though....
