i heard that theresa may is trying to throw out another attempt at brexit. that cow thinks she can fool anyone? it's not like she hasnt tried to sabotage brexit for the nth time
Everything but liberate Syria from ISIS I guess
it's kind of infuriating that, in this day and age our technology is so good, and the mass-transit and production of goods makes things so cheap, but we can't afford to keep simple services such as post offices running
what's gone wrong?
where's all the money going from all the hard working people who work til they die and don't even bother having kids, and the benefits from this technology?
Administration issues
Mostly over payment, over benefits of employees. Least in the US. The Postal Worker Union is a burden
look at how it was in the 60's for the US
those values sound like living in luxury
APWU won it's first collective bargining in 1970
THe APWU officially formed (From a massive merger) in 1961
And it has been downhill since
Fuckers can't even put mail in the right boxes anymore
Ooooooo . . . Google have blacklisted Huawei devices, saying they're doing in in accordance with instruction from the US Government.

Good
Well if the US places an embargo or a sanction, any business/country that does business with them, is also subject to it. So probably a smart move on Google's part.
pls
I'll take 10

Your average income is wrong:

And we have to get back to available goods. You probably don't have AC. You certainly don't have internet. You might have TV but it's black and white and if you are lucky there are three channels. If you chose to live like that today you could easily afford it.
Also we don't really need USPS as we have FedEx, UPS, and DHL.....
tbh paper mail should be banned
The exclusive right to deliver paper mail may be the only reason USPS exists. Yes they do some Amazon deliveries. But could they maintain their network without the exclusive right to deliver all junk mail, utility bills, and campaign adds?
in most nations the biggest expense to the postal system, is the Golden luxury pension deals to people that have stoped working ages ago. it costly to pay old people that no longer working a full salary and benefits
If sender and recipient both have internet access sending paper mail is just huge waste of ressources
Yeah try writing a romantic letter over gmail
that is why they are no longer making money,
It'll work out great
how many romantic letters you think make up the total of letters send?
That doesn't mean we should just stop having a mail service
A love txt.
Lol
not, in some cases it still is needed, but it could be reduced heavily
β€ π
Besides miscellaneous letters I just think putting all your eggs in one basket, in this case electronics, is never a good idea
the problem is that most postal system is an ineffective bureaucracy that eats money like a black hole
