@Goblin_Slayer_Floki@What Would Jack Conte Do? a staff Sgt. at my summer training ruck marched for 36 hours straight, and he’s a tanker. ranger school makes people do longer on less food. 15 hours sounds like a lot but honestly it isn’t as bad as people think. Those rules are bunk.
Granted your feet are going to be fucked up if you don’t have proper boots.
Blisters and shin splints could turn into stress fractures pretty easily if you don’t maintain yourself, haven’t rucked or are marching on some bullshit.
Yes you are right but most who do also take micro breaks, you dont need all the food yes. But no one can go without stopping even for a couple of minutes here or there...its also dependent on how fast. A "forced march" is a term for moving at a much faster speed then usually taken.
Also for the party generally. They take the strong barbarian and fighter who could probably do that with minimal breaks. But average it with non physical classes like wizard, sorcerer, ect.
