@Duke of Mecklenburg lol i own a mosin and i have literally beat the stupid thing open. I still love it though
Sargon on Jess Philips
yes considering theres millions of them and they arent really great rifles
granted most are rusted pieces of shit
>like mine
thats a dank ass sword, but wouldnt it also do a flat +3 damage as well?
das allota damage
I bought my mosin for like 130 bucks. Totally worth.
Itโs a fireball launcher
military police in training, fully plan on sawing off that mosin and sending 7.62 article 15's to privates
yes its what an officer does
fighting is for the help
this is why i dont play high level campaigns
its like handing all my players nukes and expecting anything but tears
What in tarnation is your DM even doing lol
Why do you even have 200k golf
level 5 with that much conquest? should be like 15-20 if youve taken over an entire empire XD
show him that. its technically for 3.5/pathfinder but i cant imagine it would be out of place in 5e
>or you could play pathfinder which is much better <:trumped:440551399772913674>
dude theyre a blast. Get some mates who are sharp (but not like *too* nerdy) and give it a try. even better drunk off your ass
just dont show up in costume. thats weird.
Keep in mind that also includes the value of items. @MountainMan so like a +1 sword with an equivalent enchantment should eat up around 2k of their โgold budget.โ I have no idea how that works in 5e though.
Chadfinder is best edition
Convert your 5e buddies. Outchad them
I would say that sounds broken but 3.5 has its own balance issues if you donโt plan carefully as a DM.
That. Thatโs actually a really good way to compare the editions. Iโve played a little 5e and donโt care for it because it isnโt nearly as flexible as 3.5/pathfinder. It also seems to really punish multiclassing.
Multiclassing is the fun part. Shit like Master Thrower/Rogue or other fun gish types donโt seem like they can be recreated. Which is why 3.5 is my favorite. Way more ability to create a unique character (or at least feel like it)
I always found poison to be too expensive as a player. Granted I donโt get to play much, only DM.
Archetypes are the core of the edition, which is why I donโt like it. Youโre set on rails from the word go.
Wait thereโs no ability damage in 5e at all!?
>absolute disbelief
What good is offensive necromancy then?
Tbh I never give enemies any kind of instant kill. Shit is straight up anti-fun. โOh bill youโre just dead, roll a new toon.โ
I use a kind of Left 4 Dead system. If everyone is KOโd then everyone dies. Iโve only killed maybe 3 characters otherwise and thatโs because they did something catastrophically retarded like try to be Indiana Jones in full plate.
5e does seem like way more of a power trip. Low AC combined with shitting out Xd10 damage on a cantrip.
Too young have to played 2e, but from what Iโve been told it sounds overly harsh.
Thac0 is like call of Cthulhu right? Roll low to win kinda deal.
Oh wait I didnt even know Pathfinder was putting out a second edition, I thought you were implying it was something else. Holy shit my day is made
Iโm sure as shit gonna have to look into it.
screw the lore, i make my own anyway
they can write whatever bullshit they want i just need numbers to go by
honestly if anyone here has access to the playtest rules and table top sim im down to test it, even if we dont have a full party.
fuckin sweeeeeeeet
and no ive only played 5th because i dont really want to DM it
ive also never used a premade campaign. ive homebrewed every campaign so far using a gameworld ive created over the years. Its works for me at least, especially when an NPC comes back to a new party 20 years older. always gets a positive reaction.
Eating a creature alive when there is no reason to do so is evil. Doing so for survival of when the creature is alive arguably chaotic. When the creature is dead and youโre starving to death, who cares?
Usually I define evil as sadism. If itโs just โgrossโ, itโs chaotic or a character doing something they wouldnโt normally do out of desperation.
Take canibalism. If you eat someone alive when theres a supermarket right next to you, youre a dick (evil). If you eat a dead guy you arent really hurting anyone, youre just kinda weird (choatic). If you have no other option, trapped on an island and your mate just died, do what you gotta do (neutral). If you'd rather starve to death instead of eat your mate, youre either a pussy or have principles (lawful).
there isnt really a "good" option in there, but good doesnt usually need defined. Its just alturism or sacriface.
So i got ahold of the PF2 playtest book
some of this i like, some of this angers me sexually
multiclassing is DOA it looks like
as in not even included outside of a mechanic theyre still working on
the upside is that the feat system means that there are other ways to get weird concepts in, so its not all lost. But to be honest i dont see why multiclassing got the axe so hard in 5e and now PF2
i noticed that too, but you get literally dozens of the things
feats are like candy
if thats an issue ill have to see it come out in play. from the looks of it, i dont think thatll be an issue
which is why im REALLY hoping that you can spend those feats to effectively multiclass because, as it stands, there is no way to do so at all outside of preset archtypes that arent even done and will likely be rail roaded
sorta kinda? The thing is now that feats are typed and locked. For example fighter feats were just combat feats anyone could take previously. Well, now theyre just options for the fighter that are unique TO the fighter. I imagine theres some overlap (havent looked at all of them yet), but if it does what i think itll do, you can really build a fighter you want
havent gotten there yet let me look
>wtf is this shit
thats getting tossed in my games lol thats retarded
trying so hard not to make charisma a dump stat is what that is
gish classes are already MAD as hell, it doesnt need to be worse
granted ability points are also fire hosed out in this edition
~~i like that humans arent manditory anymore lol~~
looks like they still have the best racial feats though
~~previously, the addition of an extra feat at level one and skill points out the ass made them way too good to play anything else imo. This is way better balanced.~~
im seeing a lot of these are a joke though. +1 to attack against enemy X or 5 extra movement speed? lol might never even fight enemy X so fuck that noise.
nevermind humans are still insane
is it just me or is armor gonna be totally worthless?
nevermind i didnt read that right
i was thinking that AC was gonna be stupidly low, didnt factor in training
only fighter gets power attack now. ouch.
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki yeah that sounds like a great way of saying โyouโre ass is getting railroadedโ.
Cantrips are back, but every class has the same max number of spells per spell slot. 3. On the surface that sounds like way too little but I havenโt gone over every inch of the class pages yet so they might get other stuff outside of that.
So far Iโve noticed that general feats from previous editions are now class specific. Only fighter gets power attack. Only barb gets cleave. Only rogue gets dex to damage feats and so on. Personally I absolutely despise the idea of Barbarian and Paladin not getting power attack.
Action econ is totally reworked. You get three actions in a turn, and they can all be used to do stuff. Spells usually take up two actions. Multiple attacks in a round come at -5 and -10 respectively. Considering that AC scales at a 1 to 1 with level now Iโm not even seeing fighters pulling off multiple attacks on NPCs that are their level, but will absolutely obliterate trash mobs like town guards or criminal goons.
>worthy of note in my games I use mostly humanoid enemies, so thatโs an important metric for me
Skill system looks goofy. I donโt like it. Scales 1 to 1 with level + a flat bonus if youโre trained to some degree or -4 if you arenโt.
Proficiently kinda works like 5e but thereโs four or so levels right? Untrained to mastered. This applies to damn near everything. Weapons, armor, skills and for monks being unarmored. So if youโre a level 5 dude wearing plate armor, your armor bonus is 10 if youโre trained. Heavy armor is gonna be a meme in this edition I can already tell.
Like somehow plate armor is nearly as protective as....cloth. Ish. Depending.
Makes monks have good AC though.
Comparatively at least
Shoulda just stuck with the old skill point system.
No point in dex fighters unless youโre going to be an archer it looks like.
I will say though, with the reworked action econ I can see a lot of potential for battlemages to be a ton of fun.
Wonder how grappling works.
This why Iโm going guard and ROTC. If the army needs me they can call me, otherwise fuck off while I do my own thing.
Wut
Do fighters get that many attacks that early?
>slapped
Dropping six attacks on a goon. Bitch. Slapped.
@Legiondude I'll have you know that my ROTC batt has AT LEAST a 50% APFT pass rate <:thronk:441701565607444482>
And ONLY most of those passing are around 180.
The rest are 300 PT stud weirdos, one of which runs his 2 mile in 10 minutes. Heโs a fuckin freak of fuckin nature.
it is. officers are retarded.
well i can tell you that theyre a hell of a lot more selective than the army. i think their OTC only passes around 1/3rd of applicants. Army is like 84 percent lol
thankfully weve gotten new and better cadre in my program that are actually worth a damn, i suspect it will be much better in the coming semesters.
^
My first year was entirely student lead because all the cadre quit or somethin. It was one Lt Col. doing the work of like 5 people and tasking stuff to students way before they could handle it.
