@Procella Eques the Fed rose interest rates
@Procella Eques idk if it’s specific to the midterms, but I see it as somewhat similar to 08 housing. Speculation drove it higher than production could back it, the bankers got the everyday man’s money invested, took the money, then took the houses and property too. Basically an additional consolidation of wealth into their hands
Well I know the fed rose interest rates
Once the Fed raises rates, due to the Fisher effect all other rates will gradually increase. Meaning that the massive loans that everybody from governments to corporations to individuals with credit cards will have diminished operations due to debt.
Greater proportions of a company’s resources will be channeled to paying interest.
terrible timing
If they survive at all.
it has some serious political consequences for doing something like that
It needs to be done tho. Raising rates to normal levels after this overabundance of capital.
you're right but a month before elections
they've been raising them very frequently
it's too much of a risk
I doubt anyone is laboring under the illusion that the Fed would act in ways beneficial to electing R's
^
thats what I'm trying to say
Yeah so (((bankers))) know that rates are gradually increasing, and are loaning now, to get more interest later. So in effect, by popping the bubble, it becomes bigger beforehand.
I'm just saying ..... wait until after the elections
too much is at stake
they aren't waiting until elections specifically for that reason...
the timing is absolutely terrible
election meddling without any way to really prove it
in context it almost feels like a correction to their overplaying their hand on kavanaugh
every headline post kavanaugh has been about how it was a bump for R's and a cliff for D's

@Jacob This is the "critique" of A Troublesome Inheritance"
Literally just a bunch of academics were like "I don't like that!"
It HAD to start raining six minutes before I get out of work, on a day when I don't have an umbrella... 😑
@Sam Anderson Let me guess... Ahem... "RAYCISS!"
I mean it would have been nice if they wrote at least a few pages of what they doubt specifically. Sadly that is Gentile thought, not Talmudic thought.
