although more likely you're just up against peasant farmers/slaves who revolted
archery is fucking hard
naw
It's cool tho
I did it a couple times
just point and shoot
my arm got soar as fuuuuck
the day after
which part
Sore*
Well when you're learning to draw the bow it's pretty hard
The string is a lot tougher than it looks
tricep mostly @Tero
but also my back
imagine doing that all day in a battle
i bet mongols were ripped bro
@MountainMan work dem arm muscles boi
kek
mongol bows were pretty low poundage weren't they?
but that might be because I also trained back and triceps that day <:GWcorbinTopKek:384871333705678868>
so I dunno
i wanna say 60 pound
@gary underwood gotta prepare for the rape somehow <:kek:590371888480387073>
OwO
@gary underwood imo they were prolly pretty light, because lightly armoured adversaries, needing to use it on a horse, etc.
english peasants were required to train archery every sunday after church so when they get old enough they can shoot a longbow in battle
srs?
that's pretty badass if true
That's dank af
Mandatory archery
That's how they got to be so based
<:pepehands:378719408367075333>
when civVI doesnt have longbowmen as english special units anymore <:pepehands:378719408367075333>
i tried looking into the mongol bows but i got conflicting results, most of what i saw was over 100 lb, and some as high as 180 lb. but i didnt do enough research to confirm
@gary underwood It was actually more like 70lbs
Those numbers came from people ignoring that the materials degraded over centuries of not being used
i saw one thing that said they carried two bows, and one was stronger
180lb would make them nearly twice as strong as english archers
seems unlikely
chinks not exactly big guys
