But lines about going out of your way to directly kill non-believers, I don't recall that in the bible in the same way its in the Quran

Islam is more of a heretical fanfic of the Bible and the Talmud.

I've read on some atheist forums about the "violent verses from the Bible", all I could find was things like Hebrew leaders/prophets swearing a covenant, saying that anyone that breaks the covenant is going to be murdered by the rest of the tribe.

And the Crusades were a response to Muslims constantly attacking and taking territory from Christians, the leader of Byzantium asked for help from the pope to deal with the Muslims who were constantly attacking and this is how the Crusades were started

As in, not God demanding the murder of infidels.

@DanielKO Is alcohol prohibited on good friday too? Bars are always closed on that day but I never hear anyone directly say alcohol is prohibited, although literally none of my family or extended family are religious, although nearly everyone I know celebrates good friday by eating no meat as a cultural thing despite not being Christian nor "cultural Christian".
