It's the future.

2018-04-09 00:35:21 UTC

Wait...

2018-04-09 00:35:31 UTC

This was mentioned on the 6th

2018-04-09 00:43:58 UTC

TYT went full conspiracy theory? They be stealing from Alex Jones!

2018-04-09 00:44:26 UTC

THEY'RE TRYING TO TURN THE FROGS STRAIGHT!

2018-04-09 00:44:56 UTC

Also, in this video, Joerg talks about how Youtube finally admitted they do hidden demonetization.

2018-04-09 00:49:18 UTC

Oy vey

2018-04-09 00:53:17 UTC

He also talks about why PornHub's business model doesn't work for non-porn.

2018-04-09 00:59:05 UTC

PornHub makes money from showing small clips and trying to sell full videos.

2018-04-09 00:59:11 UTC

They don't make money from ads.

2018-04-09 01:00:52 UTC

well, they can change

2018-04-09 01:01:15 UTC

but, i guess this kind of thing can only be super profitable, if they sell subscriptions

2018-04-09 01:01:37 UTC

just throwing this out there, but would something like subscribing to a channel for a penny a month work? 1000000 subscribers is $10000 a month. obviously it wouldn't work for everyone, especially channels that have younger viewers.

2018-04-09 01:01:54 UTC

yeah

2018-04-09 01:02:06 UTC

i honestly think that's the best way to do it

2018-04-09 01:02:16 UTC

pornhub can do that

2018-04-09 01:02:34 UTC

they don't need much, a USD per month would be enough

2018-04-09 01:02:39 UTC

<:think_spacey:378717098433839107>

2018-04-09 01:03:40 UTC

it wouldn't have to be hosted on pornhub

2018-04-09 01:03:57 UTC

yeah

2018-04-09 01:05:08 UTC

Makes you think

2018-04-09 01:09:39 UTC

Look

2018-04-09 01:09:42 UTC

youtube is leaving a gap

2018-04-09 01:09:49 UTC

that someone with a smart head can take

2018-04-09 01:11:38 UTC

did you purposefully avoid using the word "fill"?

2018-04-09 01:14:12 UTC

There are definitely problems with the subscription thing though

2018-04-09 01:14:55 UTC

like you would have to subscribe to every video someone linked

2018-04-09 01:15:04 UTC

>did you purposefully avoid using the word "fill"?
What do you mean ?

2018-04-09 01:16:36 UTC

"youtube is leaving a gap that someone with a smart head can fill" within the context of pornhub I found that kinda funny

2018-04-09 01:16:48 UTC

Ah

2018-04-09 01:34:34 UTC

lol

2018-04-09 02:08:22 UTC

I think Youtube found a gold mine from Twitch's half arsed system.

2018-04-09 02:11:03 UTC

On Twitch, you can subscribe to give a fixed amount of money every month, to the "creator".
But for donations, for the longest time, people had to use a 3rd party service. Then Twitch tried to eat that lunch too, with bits, which everyone hated. But the idea was, you can then send extra money to the creator, with a message; and creators figured out, they could pander to the audience by making sure to read all donation messages.
Then Youtube came up with "superchat"; thus allowing attention whores to spend vasts amount of money to talk to the creators.

2018-04-09 02:12:11 UTC

I think that's indeed the way to move forward, for video content. You'll need the ability to stream live, and a way to process payments, for whatever content it is.

2018-04-09 02:14:54 UTC

Problem is, most payment processing services don't allow adult content.

2018-04-09 02:15:35 UTC

You'd need somebody with weight, like Google or Amazon, to coerce them to allow it. Or at least to obscure the usage of the money.

2018-04-09 02:16:11 UTC

You put some money into the Google wallet, or Amazon account, and the payment service doesn't see it's being used for "bad things."

I've seen a lot of people talking shit and turning on Baked Alaska lately, did something happen with him?
