One of the trickiest things is convincing people to use it once you've built it, you would need to get a bunch of big people to want to use it. and it has to be "cool" otherwise people are just gonna say "fuck that it sucks"
theres a lot of ways you can take care of creators with good GUI
if you can convince them theyll make more money off you than YT, theres something
get whats that bi†ch to plug it
Kylie Jenner
lol
get her to say her dad likes looking at balls on it
his own balls in a glass case with a livestream at an undisclosed location
if you wanna work the 'no censorship' angle, that really means locking down Sargon, MILO, maybe Jordan P for good measure
for sure
They cant exactly leave their platform right this sec tho
maybe if YT gets worse 😃
and try to round it out with some people who arent constantly 'accused of being right-wing'
plus they already have patreons so there is that to work around. they would have to adjust their models a bit.
who has been the most screwed over by youtube?
let me think
yes but thats actually good because they have a platform to get money and they can provide content to their subscribers on any platform they like
it makes them less platform-dependent
that has something to do with what Floatplane does
yeah but the thing is, how would the patreon donors feel about it. I dont know, I'm not thinking straight atm, I cant really articulate what I'm trying to say.
if you wanted to start *stupid* tiny, contract a creator to make you one exclusive video, get the web ui all coded up, and host it. make sure theyre popular and you can get them to plug it on their YT vids. and just make sure theyre super popular. the idea is a bit of a stretch, but so is anything
oh idk. are patreon users devoted to youtube?
make lots of lists of problems
No that's not what i'm saying, just that if the creator goes to a paid subscription model would the patreons stick around? and would they need to pay for the subscription on top of patreon? that sort of thing
Also the creator would need to have some form of exclusivity to the new site.
If they stay with youtube also, they would need to have a decent upload delay to get people to spring for the subscription
yeah thats a lot to work on. you really want the ad revenue so consumers dont have to pay
thats why i say make creators pay hosting, because theyre the ones trying to make money
charging the consumer 5$ a month is okay, but im not paying 60/yr just to watch milo
you would have to really get into the numbers to figure out the optimal pricing for everything .
yeah. lots of study
what is the end goal of the platform, summarized?
white people let their kids sell lemonade on the most traffic-suffocated roads of this town
A way for creators to make money without censorship, and a way for viewers to see the content they want.
or something along those lines
is an open platform a must, anyone can post video?
I dont think so
consider not having it open
I dont think that would work with something like this
call it **DarkTube** or something
