the countries yes

2018-04-23 22:10:55 UTC

(all seven of them)

2018-04-23 22:11:04 UTC

black people aren't popular anywhere that doesn't have PC culture

2018-04-23 22:11:05 UTC

US Military is always in the news for committing crimes.

2018-04-23 22:11:07 UTC

the average japanese person doesn't hold a very high opinion of the US

2018-04-23 22:11:14 UTC

Japan will never see a Westerner as one of them, even if you live there and integrate

2018-04-23 22:11:16 UTC

especially in the areas surrounding military bases

2018-04-23 22:11:19 UTC

because of rape cases

2018-04-23 22:11:37 UTC

They like tourists. Come in, spend some of your sweet money buying stuff, then leave. They'll love you for that.

2018-04-23 22:12:04 UTC

that's unfortunate @Mal

2018-04-23 22:12:46 UTC

the rapes I mean

2018-04-23 22:12:59 UTC

oh no, that sucks

2018-04-23 22:14:04 UTC

The video on being Christian in Japan is interesting. Even among Japanese Christians, they don't share much of Christian values with the west.

2018-04-23 22:14:35 UTC

The kid saying, he only converted to Christianity after he visited the USA, because a Christian family was nice to him, and help when he got his wallet stolen.

2018-04-23 22:15:00 UTC

Why do they make their anime characters look western tho? /troll

2018-04-23 22:15:31 UTC

Makes one think, if something happens to a westerner in Japan, if he's going to get any help.

2018-04-23 22:16:15 UTC

They might get help from the Yakuza

2018-04-23 22:16:32 UTC

oh I'm sure that'll end up well.

2018-04-23 22:16:50 UTC

I don't know, I'm sure Jap authorities would be accomodating enough

2018-04-23 22:16:55 UTC

Then again, they'd probably assume you were a tourist

2018-04-23 22:17:21 UTC

What happened?

2018-04-23 22:17:21 UTC

I mean, come on, help out a victim of a robbery, that's not something exclusively Christian; yet, it was mindblowing enough for the kid, who grew up on a Christian family, that he decided to be Christian himself. People say americans are selfish, but damn, Japan sounds even more so.

2018-04-23 22:17:32 UTC

Van of peace happened.

2018-04-23 22:17:45 UTC

If you needed to contact an official in Japan you would want to conduct yourself very carefully and politely when speaking to them

2018-04-23 22:18:03 UTC

If you seemed like you expected help, they probly wouldnt try too hard

2018-04-23 22:18:20 UTC

sometimes It seems like asians don't have souls, but that might just be their culture

2018-04-23 22:18:41 UTC

Yuta had an interview about having foreign neighbors.

2018-04-23 22:19:02 UTC

Japan doesnt have individualism

2018-04-23 22:19:05 UTC

They all expressed a similar sentiment of not wanting to live near a foreigner, because they might get involved into the neighbor's problems.

2018-04-23 22:19:31 UTC

Japan might get some induvidualism soon if their Anime inspire their kids

2018-04-23 22:19:45 UTC

They are adopting more western ideals

2018-04-23 22:20:06 UTC

yeah thats interesting

2018-04-23 22:20:09 UTC

Like My Hero Academia

2018-04-23 22:20:22 UTC

my experiences as a tourist there have been great. People usually assume I'm American, and are somewhat cold, but when I tell them I'm Danish they lighten up quite a bit.

2018-04-23 22:20:39 UTC

Its the most induvidualistic anime I have seen to date

2018-04-23 22:21:22 UTC

Did you challenge them with your viking sword?

2018-04-23 22:21:31 UTC

didn't make it past customs
