I wish I could believe in an afterlife just to put my mind and soul to rest.

But a divine world always feels like a false promise, like all prayers are beyond the petition of a drugged God, torn by the scorching fire and winds of addiction.

Faith is beyond me, it escapes me in many ways.

For as long as I've looked at the world my eyes have sought things to believe in, yet they always seems to be leaving soon after I begin to recognize them.

After believing in many false idols, I've finally realized I want to believe in God of all things, to believe in my nation, in family, in fundamentals and truth. But I've only just begun to learn how.
