I'm 38 seconds in and Styx seems to have the idea

2018-05-05 13:11:54 UTC

Why did he not tried to get an out-of-court settlement? Or did he?

2018-05-05 13:12:20 UTC

set an unhelpful precedent if he settle

2018-05-05 13:12:29 UTC

not really.

2018-05-05 13:12:30 UTC

these cases are bigger than the people involved in them

2018-05-05 13:12:58 UTC

why should he pay akilah?

2018-05-05 13:14:03 UTC

The video he uplaoded was borderline uncommented., when I am not mistaken. Not a good case to make a precedent.

2018-05-05 13:14:17 UTC

i dont have access to the video

I'm sending Styx a case of beer for that one

2018-05-05 13:15:09 UTC

@Deleted User The video was serving as a juxtaposition

2018-05-05 13:15:15 UTC

The comment was the edit

2018-05-05 13:16:12 UTC

Yeah, I am not on her side. I want to say that it is not a strong case for Sargon.

2018-05-05 13:17:02 UTC

i cant assess the accusation about the lack of transformation unless i can see the video

2018-05-05 13:17:22 UTC

You have to see it also from the side of the content creator. How much do you have to change for fair use.

2018-05-05 13:17:30 UTC

yes

2018-05-05 13:17:47 UTC

so how much?

2018-05-05 13:18:07 UTC

I dont know! The courts have to decide.

2018-05-05 13:19:26 UTC

well it might not be a strong case based on the allegations but i can only confirm them as being rumored

2018-05-05 13:19:45 UTC

whose move was it to pull the video?

2018-05-05 13:19:49 UTC

she admitted in her complaint that he "distorted" her video so he clearly made enough changes. The real question is who is backing her and why does she feel its worth 150k

2018-05-05 13:20:03 UTC

spite probly

2018-05-05 13:20:08 UTC

jealousy

2018-05-05 13:20:24 UTC
2018-05-05 13:20:27 UTC

she has a hatecrush

2018-05-05 13:20:37 UTC

In his Jan. 17, 2007 column, Ben Shapiro declared, “torture will often serve a useful purpose,” and proposed a utilitarian ethic for its use, saying, “If torturing a particular terrorist is useful—if we engage in the complicated calculus that tells us that the benefits outweigh the harms—torture is not only justified, it is morally right.” The title of his column: “Where’s Jack Bauer When You Need Him?”

2018-05-05 13:22:36 UTC

that borders on the vc logic from the viatnam war. Where if the village wouldnt tell you who the vc were they all were vc and there for needed to die.

2018-05-05 13:22:57 UTC

i'm not a big fan of the hit tv show *24*

2018-05-05 13:23:06 UTC

this is alienating lol

2018-05-05 13:24:41 UTC

strike back is a much better version of the same type of thing + more nudity as it was not on basic cable oh and not written by Americans so it gets truly dark in places.

2018-05-05 13:25:19 UTC

shouldnt we just adhere to the Geneva convention in regards to torture?

2018-05-05 13:26:07 UTC

if thats the case why are they allowed to air the view daily?

2018-05-05 13:26:18 UTC

aside from that i dont see anything terrible with having a divergent opinion on torture. it's not yet the law of war

2018-05-05 13:26:38 UTC

i think its a hard argument to make

2018-05-05 13:26:53 UTC

Churchill love da gas

2018-05-05 13:28:07 UTC

but i am to follow the laws governing war as they exist, and not question them while on duty

2018-05-05 13:29:35 UTC

and theyre allowed to air the view daily because free speech

2018-05-05 13:30:08 UTC

the problem is a terrorist is not a structure you can technally be at war with as there is no body to declare war on and no way to achieve victory in the classical sense.

2018-05-05 13:30:31 UTC

so applying rules of war do not work

2018-05-05 13:31:19 UTC

aye, thank you

2018-05-05 13:32:38 UTC

is there a standard protocol for when this conflict arises? something i could look up?
