The guy didn't seem to get it, so I just went along with it, and he gives me a five character alphanumeric confirmation number.

And then a phone number to call.

I tried to call the DC number after we hung up and I waited about ten minutes, and got a disconnected number prompt. Bingo, it's a scam.

So now, since they're breaking the law, we can have as much fun as we want.
