I mean, we're majority-Germanic, and culturally Anglo-Saxon, but yeah, I think we're an ethnos unto ourselves, along with Germanics, Latins, Slavs, Balts, Finns, Albanians, Greeks, etc.
There has been an ethnogenesis of Italians and Irish intermixing in my area for generations
@Kingfish Yeah, in my background, too.
It is called the philly phenotype and it is both loud, drunk, and disorderly
Tfw have fair amount of both of those things and am the complete opposite
The key ingredient is being in Philly
Its funny how after the eagles won the superbowl people were Like "ugh this is why I hate diversity!" Honestly most of the rioting was hype Italians and Irish being...well Italian and Irish
@Deleted User Yeah, the Swedish detachment drowned out any inclination I otherwise would have had toward being raucous.
Superbowl rioting was based and redpilled
It was lit
My entire neighborhood basically just came out and all my neighbors were screaming at each other DID YOU SEE THAT DID YOU HEAR THAT BIRDS BIRDS BIRDS
It was amazing tbh
Good times
the footage was great stuff
the people collapsing that awning/roof thing was great
During that night if you were in the bathroom or walking somewhere you'd know if the eagles scored because the entire area would collectively scream and cheer at once
I was out side walking home with people and cars were just diving by screaming go birds to each other it was honestly a sight to behold
One of my happiest memories of my young adult life in my town
@Bjorn - MD I don't think my southern European side is necessarily loud or anything, I'd moreso describe it as more realistic and doesn't take shit, unlike my other, more >polite ancestry
I think there's a genuine racial/metaphysical differerence between the north and the south of Europe
@Deleted User and I are very funny to be around at the same time for this reason
He's a very level headed stoic Nordic type
And then I'm well, a Med
And the opposite
And it's cool because you can see the same differences shown in religion too the way paganism was different north to south and how that transferred into Christianity as well
Chris is very outgoing
and I'm very...not
The norths perception of Christ was a very endearing and stoic view of a suffering man who was tortured and suffering for us
Meanwhile Christ in Med art has a six pack and is sitting on the Cross like an absolute Chad
eh, idk, that characterization seems at odds with Nordic mythos to me
they didn't exactly worship the meek
Not exactly what I'm saying
But there is a natural order and quiet virtue to the northern European spirit
I'd agree with that
Suffer in silence.
Its more grounded
Exactly
Good way to put it
suffer in silence is the anglo motto
"Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way" 😉
Lots of emphasis on humility in Nordic culture
