yeah
I'll fix it! Thank you!
@Baraban I complete a lot of pieces but I don't consider them good
Most of them I would rate as mediocre at best
I am working towards making mediocre into good right now and in the future I will try to turn good into great
Ok
I don't have a solid understanding yet of what makes an image compelling, especially as it comes to saturation and values
That's why I do studies
I don't know if the right eye is really lower in the painting.... The eyebrows are at the same hight, and you can't see the actual eye... So I don't know what makes you think that. @Deleted User @Deleted User
I honestly think it looks great
If anything so... The mouth might be a bit iffy
yeah that's what I was thinking
Following the brow's shadow shape
I don't see that in the painting though....
If the head was tilted, that would look fine
You only see the shadow and it looks fine
Still don't see the issue
Give me a second
Yeah exectly
So where's the problem?
Look at the line
the horizontal I drew
The eyes aren't level, but hte head is straight
yeah it's noticable
need to be up and left
if you attempt to imagine the proper sketch, without shadow, it just looks weird
look at the eyes in relation to the horizontal
they aren't aligned
it's really nitpicky stuff but when you train to see them then they pop up, and usually it's just an aggregation of these little mistakes that push a piece towards greatness
If you say so. I still don't see it
I think you can make a case that the entire head is tilted and lower his canvas left ear slightly and change some shadow shapes
That might actually work better
it was probably hard to see because it can make sense too if the canvas-left ear and jaw are lowered and the forehead shadow (and others) would reflect the tilt
I should probably buy an easel
Right now I'm just using an Atlas for support lol
